so now we have 3 more years of dog running. these guys just know how to abuse the system. someone should let newsday know and the local papers. what an abuse of power.

So let me get this right, they lock up the Water District sites so unathorized perps will not gain entry and screw with the water, but they made a dog run out off one of the sites and let the taxpayers have access without checking identities? Homeland security should be notified? The taxpayers have a right to know whats going on with thier property and the water shed. Who is this Gary Brosnan? Sounds to me like he runs the Water District.

I like the idea of a dog run & opening more public land to the public. It's what we live here for. There should be a way to secure the water supply but we can't make every decision based on the possibility of a lunatic doing something bad. There's a difference between being careful and living in locked down mode.
