Most voters on Long island are just trying to survive and nurture their families.
Many do not know the candidates but latch on to names they recognize. If
people were aware that Isreal voted with Pelosi and really understood the
consequences he may have lost. But the district is very rigged for a dem, as King's is for a pub! Our congressman was in San Francisco this weekend and
it makes you wonder if the heckling has not abated!

I wouldn't piss on Steve Israel, yet he ran the smarter campaign. He bided his time and used his money at the right place in time to smear the competition.

Leftists like Israel cannot win on substance, so they have to resort to smear campaigns to win.

Gomez was a good candidate who did not get his message out where it counted. Looking good in a suit and saying the right things to people who are already going to vote for you doesn't win elections.

If you cannot get your message out to the folks in CD2 who are on the fence or may not vote because they are uninspired, then you lose.

I understand your point about Newsday, but what do you mean by admonishment? How is that even possible? And what would that accomplish?

I vote with my wallet and don't buy that poor excuse for toilet paper. Just stop buying their paper and encourage others to do the same. The Newspapers in this country are losing revenue hand over fist. The ad revenue that keeps them afloat went to the major internet advertisers long ago. They are dying and we should all work to encourage that. If they cannot report the news without the Statist spin, then they should go out of business.
