Hauppauge taxes are LOW compared to every other LI school district. Time to pay up like everyone else.

this is a good budget....nobody wants their taxes to go up....but this is a good fair budget

Change will happen during negotiations. But think before you open your mouth Would you be willing to or have you done the following..... Did you give back anything while you were working "within a contract?" Do you work a day free because your employer was going through a rough time? Do you turn down overtime if it is offered to you? Would you give up salary to keep jobs? If you are a civil servant do you work a week for nothing because of government deficits? If you do. let me call the vatican because you should qualify for sainthood!! In my district, the teachers have given back they have not spoken about it publicly but maybe they should. People are quick enough to point fingers at teacher all the time. Maybe they should look in their own background!!
