Watch video of Jack Martins Victory speach. At 30 seconds into speach Martins mentions towns in his district and mentions Elmont/Franklin Square....with that there is a chear from the crowd!! Marcellino then shakes his head in disgust, points to Mondello and quote"thats because of u!" WOW!!! and mondello agrees?! WTF are these people nuts!! Do they have any clue the effort that is put into that end of towns campaigns? How about all the leaders committemen/ women and volunteers. The west end is a part of the GOP that stands next to none. That area is the BACKBONE of the NASSAU GOP, just ask YOUR county Executive.....he simply won the election because of the 21st A.D. Wake up Carl.....we all dont live in Fairytail Land....we have to work on our campaigns 365 days a year and then some!

To be fair to the rest of the Nassau GOP, Mangano won a narrow victory. You could say that just about anybody made the difference that put him over the top. You think the East end - his home base - wasn't key? Then there's Garden City in the center, which is reliably heavy heavy GOP.

I would not read into this too much, because the Elmont,FS and Floral Park areas showed up for the Republicans, and they both now this.

He won because Suozzi got 2000 FEWER votes in GLEN COVE than in the previous County Exec election.

See. Here we go again. I'm not disagreeing, but anybody can make this claim in the Mangano victory.

It's like a congressional vote that won by one vote. You'll have hundreds of the opposing party running and saying that __________ "cast the deciding vote."

Yes, but that's a lot of votes to lose in your own home town. I bet the LI Press articles helped cause Suozzi's demise ....

LOL... and all of the Hansen signs I moved out of central Nassau and up into Glen Cove and Great Neck, hehehe. They thought Suozzi was a shoe-in.

There were no Hansen signs in Glen Cove. It was all the LI Press' doing. That's probably why Mangano hired Martino don't you think?

The West End GOP is run by Joe Cairo and thats why the won so big, he is the Superman of the GOP
