I agree but if the Republicans jump on the fact that Bellone would be signing his wife's paycheck it will work against him. Look at what has happened in the past. Nepotism is one of the chief arguments that will be thrown at Bellone. The Dems started it with Levy's wife. Make no mistake the Republicans will not let that go unchallenged.

I think if there was a legitimate choice between Levy and another candidate, Levy would loose. I think people see through his tax manipulation, patronage positions, budgeting money for employee positions he has not intention of filling, special interest. it goes on and on. I think people remember how Brian Foley cleaned up Brookhaven and I think the residents are ready for fresh start and a new vision.

I hope who ever runs works with the state in trying to get the school districts under control. The tax cap is a good start but until the burden of school tax is spread equally amongst all Suffolk residents and not just the home owners it will still be impossible for our children to afford to live here.
