Well let's face facts here FOLEY is a Day Laboreres best friend, if it were up to Foley he'd re name Farmingville Latinoville to make them all feel special. I'm no racist, but when my ancestors came to this country they did it legally and with a dream to love this new country and learn to adhere to the American way. 90% of these laborers or illegal immigrants could care less about America they actually despise us and they have zero intention of ever becoming a citizen, something my ancestors prized. We are out there distributing this flyer and it is going like hot cakes!! People are very aware of Candidate Foley's treason and the ONLY person to disagree with the flyer so far is a poster on this thread. Even when Congressman Bishop recently spoke in Selden, the people we gave the flyer to were against Foley's pro-illegal alien hiring hall stance.

Look up Foley's voting record. It is public info. He voted for a tax payer funded hiring hall for illegal aliens and AGAINST requesting that the federal government enforce immigration laws.(2004, SR 025 an SR 042) Look it up!!

So far I have heard TWO people say they will vote for anti-American Candidate Foley.(you are one of them) Hundreds of flyers have been distributed and people are aware of Candidate Foley's treason and they agree he is the WRONG choice for Brookhaven Supervisor.

The Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act does include a broad-based guest worker program, but it does not contain provisions for securing the borders and other points of entry. Also, it does not address the problem of local enforcement of immigration law. Instead it calls for the Secretary of Homeland Security to develop a strategy for securing our borders and for working with State and local law enforcement.

Here's a strategy: secure the borders and mandate local enforcement of immigration law, include it in this bill proposed by McCain, and then both sides of the argument will get what they want. As we go through the process of identifying the millions of illegal aliens already here, we have to make sure a million more aren't on the way, and we need to make sure that local sanctuary laws are prohibited.

If they implement the guest-worker program without sufficient border controls, it will only perpetuate and multiply the problem we face today. And if local law enforcement is not required to enforce the supreme law of the land, then what sort of constitution do we have? We need to get tough.

Foley paying lip service to McCain's bill reveals that he doesn't understand the problem or the issue. Does Foley support local enforcement of immigration law? What about the borders? What good is a guest-worker program if they aren't secured?

True, but immigration is traditionally enforced at the Federal level, too. So is illegal immigration an issue which is germane to the Brookhaven elections? I think it is, and I believe any candidate's position on federal immigration policy is a question that should be asked, especially here where the issue is very hot. I would ask candidate Foley whether or not he supports local enforcement of immigration law, and securing the borders.

Also, I don't see anything wrong with criticizing a candidate's policy position, whether it be on a local Town ordinance or a Federal issue.

And yes, he is the wrong choice. Shouldn't the public be aware that he supports a bill in Congress which addresses immigration and basically punts on the border and local enforcement issues? I thought it was fair game, even though he's not running for Federal office.

If you are going to call him to find out his stance may I suggest that you first call the Legislature Clerk at 853-4074 and verify for yourself that Foley voted AGAINST 2004 SR-025 and SR 042. These were sense resolutions requesting the federal government to enforce immigration laws. In other words Candidate Foley does NOT want federal immigration laws enforced. It is on the record.
Then if you call him at 854-1400 you will find out one of two things.
1)He does NOT want immigration laws enforced
2)He does NOT want immigration laws enforced and he is a LIAR
