I would say this is politics as usual on Long Island. For both parties and all politicians.If they appoint someone to a well paid position, you are saying he should not make a political contribution to the party?
Check out all towns, all political action committees for donors, see where the donors work, and you will find the same thing.

Try to get this right. Over the last seven years the County Exec has had 13 fund raisers. The Dept Heads are sent tickets. They buy a ticket for each one they get at $300-$400 each. Total that you see on the Board of Elections site for the Labor Relations Director and the Planning Director is from $3-4,000 for the seven years. Same for other Department Heads who work for the Co. Exec.

These are not "kickbacks" or "gratuities for the job" and they come out of each person's checkbook. These individuals go to these functions in support of their boss, the County Exec. whether they like him or hate him. It is a night out with many people in government. Perfectly legal, always been done.

Big difference between hiring law firms to handle cases and getting them to contribute $ based on the amount of work obtained.

You showed your ignorance by writing what you did and you should do some research before you print ridiculous remarks about money coming from petty cash accounts.

This is written in regard to the two department heads you viciously abused with your posting. It is not in any way a defense of Levy.
