City Councilman Denis Kelly announced in the Long Beach Herald that he plans to wage an aggressive fight and primary the likely ticket of Remo, Tagney & Tepper. Josh Ketovah is said to be firmly in Kelly's corner after receiving the overwhelming support of so many committee people.

Ketovah considering Kelly is a major disappointment to people like Cammarato, Crystal, Nigro and others who held elected office who were hoping to see some ol good fashioned ass-kicking applied to Mr. Kelly. None of the committee people feel comfortable with Kelly. There is no doubt that at times he demonstrated that he could have been someone special, but has consistently let our local party down. I am loyal to Crystal. I am disappointed in Ketovah if he seeks support for Kelly.

It is pretty evident to this committeeman that we should have brought back Gene!

Kelly? Why does Lenny get a free ride? Fine if they want to go with Tagney and Tepper, but Dennis has done a lot of good things for us over the years and we should not forget it. I think Ketovah is smart for looking to Kelly.

Gene wanted Ketovah to be the Party Chairman so the club could have Kelly on the ticket without it embarrassing him personally. I think the whole idea of having Gene secretly running the club while people think Josh is running it an absolute winner. Who will know?

Josh is an excellent young man. Everyone knows that Suozzi personally requested that Josh be the "man."

So what? Remo? Kelly? Tagney? Tepper? I say ya gotta keep Kelly. Look who knows Tagney? People think Tagney is the putz cop that worships Larry and the Long Beach Police despise. Tepper is a fine young man who comes from an excellent family. One question.
When was Tepper ever spotted at a City Council meeting? Does Tepper have any thoughts on how to lead the City?

Ketover, Tagney, and Tepper should be the ticket. Everyone knows Ketover now that he ran against Skelos. All fresh faces to prove to the community we have changed.

Dump Remo & Kelly!

Enough of Suozzi, he is the kiss of death. We've got other great candidates in Long Beach without Suozzi's meddling.

Hey Tom, keep thinking about Albany and don't think of Long Beach unless you want to hear what a jerk you are on the boardwalk.

DIGNITY?

What does Ketover see when he looks in the mirror. An ass kissing jerk hanging onto Tom Suozzi's every word. Doesn't any of these people have any dignity in their own accomplishments. Dump Ketover he is in so over his head. How does a guy like that even come close to following Camarrato. Gene we're laughing with you.

Dennis has been held accountable for his actions. Although in a general election, Dennis is likely to win, he does not have the support of the Party to win the Democratic Primary. It would be wise of Mr. Kelly to step aside and support the Democratic slate. However Dennis does not have the ability to realize his mistake, nor will his ego allow for such an admittion of guilt.

Dennis, fall on your sword.....

According to some in the Kelly camp. He is set to announce that he will not continue his pursuit of the Democratic line in the Primary. I really hope Mr. Kelly supports the Democratic candidates. It would be in the best interest of the City by the Sea.

I hear that he will have enough signatures to qualify for the Democratic Primary. OH and the fat boy goes down. What will Larry and Judge do now? Guess they could back Dennis?

Timberrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Down goes Fatty Dwyer as he crushes everybody in sight. Drinky Moriarity refused to give him his old job back after hearing delightful tales of the pig dwyer walking around barefoot and smoking cigars in city hall. Although Rooney arriving half drunk on a daily basis wouldnt stop Drinky so maybe the big dumb loser known as Fatthew still has a chance with the repubs. Isnt he a republican spy afterall?

If I was Moriarity, I'd probably show up drunk too. After all, it's highly unlikely that Sofield would ever have him arrested. You don't bite the hand that fees you. Unless your name is Tepper. Then you bite anything that looks delicious.

Same goes if you're name is Polcer, then you drink and eat everything in sight... I guess that same adage could be applied to FAT BOY RIMO, DENISE, & JOSH... what a bunch of slobs on this ticket? Don't worry, the repubs are full of pigs too-- no 'Just For Men' models this year. On a side note, if there was a fist fight, which candidate do you think would win?

Doug Miller (editor for the LB Herald) is such a gullible punk to even print Dennis Kelly's half-ass anwer to why he did not file petitions. The answer is quite obvious to everyone else, Dennis is a man without a country. He was left out to dry by Republicans and he is loathed by Democrats.

Funniest quote of the week:

"He's a very interesting individual, he made interesting choices and changed positions several times, like a Shakespearean character," said Crystal, a retired Long Beach High School teacher.
Which one?
"Iago, maybe. I always let him do his own thing. And he's done it again, apparently."

Great quote Mr. Crystal, Shakespeare could not have said it better himself.

Think about it. What did Kelly do to deserve the wrath of so many?

In my opinion, Kelly abandoned both political parties for his own benefit. This was so he could foolishly believe that he, Kelly would be City Council President. On one hand, it would have been interesting. Could you see Kelly putting the Fat pig in place? The clubhouse would have been interesting to say the least.

On the other hand, it was incredibly foolish to abandon all political principles and do in your fellow colleagues. People at his law practice would be wise to take note. I for one do not believe for a minute that Kelly would have ever received the votes he received in 2001 had he not run with Tom Suozzi and Joel Crystal while sharing the same last name as the late City Councilman Tom Kelly who was well respected.

Kelly was extremely fortunate to not have his political soft belly exposed and gutted by his political opponenets of both parties.

and so...like that ...He was gone...
