Jack Martins was very nervous during this debate. What? He's never spoken in public before? Whether or not you like Johnson, he was clearly more at ease.

But what's with Martin's dig at Johnson's salary for his "6 month" gig? If Jack gets elected to the senate is he going to work for 12 months? Or will he chop his salary in half?

And is Martins a small business owner or not? During the debate he claimed to be a small business owner. But when it comes to his concrete companies paying their taxes, the businesses belong to someone else?

Last I heard most LI schools are getting $20 - $30 K and NYC is getting upwards of $600 million. Why doesn't he fight to restore the funding we lost in the first place. Want to talk about MTA tax? Promised schools would get it back, they're still waiting. What about charter school vote with not a single charter school in his district? Why is Bloomberg throwing Johnson $1000/plate fundraisers? Check out where a disproportionate amount of his contributions come from. Oh, lest I forget the STAR rebate check. You vote for this guy LI you deserve everything you get (or dont get)

funny how Johnson has been pointing fingers when his name was mentioned in a scandal with the race tracks. He is now under investigation. Oh how I wonder if this means another politician will be sporting the silver charm bracelets.

Are we really surprised that this low life has been lining his pockets w- our tax dollars. I wonder if it will come out that he was paid a hefty sum of money to vote for the MTA tax? I wouldn't be surprised if thats why he has been selling us out. They should audit all accounts that he is affiliated with. If the race track is now, I would bet more scandals from this crook will follow.

Mineola is a haven for illegals, gangs, and illegal apartments. Vote for Martins and you can have that in your neighborhood as well.

The last TWO times he ran unopposed so he was handed the position. And the turnout for the last mayoral election was EXTREMELY low.

He can't even count on the Portugese community any more after the way he handled the Verizon mess on the south side.

NY State is a mess-however for Martins to succeed, he would have to WORK WITH OTHERS--not his strong suit--he's a "it's my way or the highway" type of individual. Or haven't you not noticed...
