View Full Version : Old Westbury Police
Rule of law

I just recently noticed the Old Westbury Police Department vehicles display front facing blue lights in violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.
This demostrates a credibility issue for these officers.
The Village Trustees should order the immediate removal of these lights.

If you wasn't so stupid you would realize all emergency vehicles are switching over to blue lights per the Dep't of Transportation requirement. Blue lights are more visible at night & in inclement weather.
Rich snob, and idiot!

Blue is only authorized facing to the ReaR
This also hasn't stopped the PD in GC who have the more colorful Red & Blue - for quite a few years now.
There's more important crime-type-things out there

All members of the OWPD have been indicted for lighting violations by Ms Rice's office. Spokesman Dennis Dunn Jr says the Office of the DA will not tolerate law violators in a position of public trust. All officers are expected to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Why not pull over an OWPD car and give the officer a summons for violating the VTL?
Oh yeah, because you're not a police officer.
Why don't you stick to selling insurance or whatever other mundane job you do and stop looking for things to complain about regarding the police. They have enough to worry about without having to concern themselves with gadflys like yourself and your mindless little tirades.
Goodnight Gracie!

NYC MTA busses now use blue lites - to get commuters thru traffic faster & get special lanes -- No thought of improving movement of cops - fire - ambulances yet -- only MTA busses. Vollies & their private cars be damned!! And yes, there are vollie FF's within NYC.
Go Yanks
