Its the reality of politics my friend. People who support you expect you to have their back. When you don't - they can turn on you just as fast and just as easily as they supported you.

Its not just local. Look at the $100 million the kid from facebook gave to NJ. That wasn't about philanthropy. That was about jobs & power. No secret the founders of facebook worked on obama's campaign - just like the google kids did. The catch with the money was that the Republican Governor Christie had to step down and relinquished his right to run the school district over to the Mayor - who is a Democrat. $100 million is just that kind of money that the Governor couldn't refuse. They had him against a wall. That money was all about buying the Democrats in NJ power & jobs.

You think people are going to keep donating money to a republican - or a democrat or anyone else - if they get nothing in return? Not in this life time.

Not unless they're really stupid, really naive and supremely stupid. Even the computer nerds of facebook - the supreme liberal children of change - are starting to learn it.

All these high & mighty republicans with their country club jobs - but wait till they need help - they don't think they ever will. Lets see them get fired & then try to find a job without any political rabbi handing them an appointment - and see how fast they start saying unemployment extensions are a good thing for the economy. I've seen these political types turn tail on stands, people & refuse to even acknowledge things they've said just because the tide turns and the big cheese tells them who to like, what to like and how to like it. I've seen them close out good people just because they spoke out against something or for something or someone they weren't supposed to. I'm sure the democrats aren't any better. All political people are liars and phonies and they are only about the jobs & the power and will use anybody & everybody to do as much for them as they can, then throw them aside when they get tired of working and getting nothing in return.
