Looks like old Kate is a great order taker from JM. A bad decision as usual. All fluff and bad decision making like her daddy.

How come the Great Kate couldnt tell Joe no? Shes weak. Not a good leader. And dresses poorly.

If you'd have done your homework, maybe you would know that Ms. D'Amato is more than qualified for the post. But you hate the Republicans so much, you could never entertain the possibility that Kate's appointment makes a ton of sense. Comments like yours really prove how stupid you really are.

Well the real question is...After election will Kate resigh and Mrs. D become supervisor

Damato supports DEMS
05-26-2005, 10:51 PM
All is not as simple as it seems. Al Damato came out in support of Spitzer for Governor, against Republican incumbent Pataki.
He is also behind the push in getting Dinapoli the Lt. Governor slot in the campaign - which is an afront to Suozzi.
2005 is not an election where clear party lines exist - the Republicans will be full out Republican - but regardless of what Bogsted or Peragine decide to finally do - most members of both parties - including their leaders - will also be supporting Peterson, as will many Democrats who got burned by Suozzi and who, just HATE him - whether or not they pretend to be on Suozzi's campaign trail or not. You'll see the plays coming out.

D"Amato and Elovich from Long Beach are running the Spitzer show. No moves will be made without them so NAssau Dems can forget about them State jobs in 2007. Yavo!

It's not just one side
05-27-2005, 11:31 AM
Well it's all one sided again. Son't forget that good ole Harvey Levinson 14 board members are all DEMS. When he came in they got rid of all the REPS(which by the way was a mixed board REPS and DEMS) Newsday has never done a story on that.

Sorry, but Harvey Levinson turned out to be nothing more then a Suozzi puppet.

Maybe someone could tip off the LI Press about Levinson. I wish the paper would start to distribute to homes. Not enough coverage.

Latest manuever - both NYS Attorney General Spitzer and his likely potential running mate in 2005 bid for the Governor's Office come out in support of Greg Peterson for Nassau County Executive as being the better man. Sheldon Silver comes out in favor of such support claiming Tom Suozzi has abandoned the Democratic Party and it's members more than once, and tripped over himself so many times to get the Conservative Party's Endorsement, that we can no longer support him as one of our own.

Peterson wins. Suozzi no longer has any vehicle to manipulate him into a visible position making any potential challenged primary of Spitzer's run for Governmor impossible. DiNapoli laughs while Sidikman primary's Suozzi for the job of Glen Cove Mayor - and wins. Suozzi slinks off into a job as an entry level accountant for Ernst & Young.

If Damato can support Spitzer over Pataki, then Spitzer can return the favor.

Get on board the Peterson train.

At the original topic of this thread -

Why shouldn't a person who apparently knows how to get the zoning changes needed to build whatever THEY wanted,

(see, "D'Amato Long Beach Home Nearly Blots Out the Sun")

be allowed to serve as a zoning board member?

Make for some increased attendance at ZBA meetings, no?

More than qualified?? Ms. D'Amato has no relevant real estate, land use or zoning experience in her short legal career, during which time she clerked for a judge and worked in-house for a corporation. It seems her only relevant experience was -- as she admitted in Newsday -- that her personal interest in this area of the law was piqued by the former Supervisor's/U.S. Senator's application for his house in Lido Beach.
