View Full Version : Twombly Back at BOE - What a Joke
JJ's Psychotic Plays
05-20-2005, 10:06 AM
The word is Gerry Twombly will be back at The Nassau BOE with a salary of about $90,000. Yes the same Gerry Twombly that was so bad last year that every BOE employee was forced to walk against him for state committee. The same Gerry Twombly that vowed to get even with all those who walked against him. Now he will be over all of these people.
So Jay forces the BOE staff to walk against Gerry last year. Now he hires him at a salary about double the mean salary of the those same employees who were made to walk. A little psychotic don't you think. What a joke this chairman has become.
Gerry's duties will be to sit in a closet and not run a primary against any Democrat. Nice payoff for being a dislaoyal party member.
twombly?
05-20-2005, 10:13 AM
and stein is allowing this? what a way to care about your employees! everyone will be frightened when twombly is back in the boe. give twombly just want he wants: back at the boe so he can show who's boss.
JJ'S STUPIDITY

STUPID MOVE BOYS!?!?!?!
Watch Your Back
05-20-2005, 11:20 AM
Watch out Gerry. When peitition season is over so are you. How can you trust these backstabbers.
TWOMBLY JOKE
05-20-2005, 11:33 AM
Whoa Whoa Whoa --- Is This A Joke? There Is No Way These Guys Could Be That Stupid To Bring Twombly Back To The BOE. Somebody Pinch Me And Tell Me That I'm Dreaming. WHAT A MESSAGE: Screw The Party And They Will Give You A $100,000 A Year Job. Boy O Boy --- When Will They Learn?
Fool Me Twice Same on Me
05-20-2005, 12:58 PM
Its a fact. Just in time for petition season. They're not hiring Gerry to walk petitions they're hiring him not to walk petitions. Thats right $90,000 a year not to work. In JJ's mind that might keep Rocco Ianarelli and Cyndi Kuriel of the ballot.
You don't find it curious that he being hired a week or so before petition season. Its so transparent to everyone exept maybe Gerry. He just sold his sole to the devil. How long does he expect Jay to keep him around this time.
Remeber Gerry. Fool me once same on you. Fool me twice same on me. Isn't this the same chair who promised you the world four years ago and paid you to run the Oyster Bay campaigns. Only to fire after the election. History has a way of repeating itself.
Beach Bums

Don't fret Jerry, it will be the summer when they dump you and Jones beach will be looking for summer help.
Ask Cindy what it feels like being thrown overboard.
Steve Sabbith
05-20-2005, 07:53 PM
Did Gerry T accept the job yet?
Sabbeth is next
05-20-2005, 08:03 PM
Did Gerry T accept the job yet?
Yes he has. And Steve Jay wants to know if you would like to be commissioner again. With Twombly and Terry running the party your the only thing missing from the group JJ once ran against.

Easy win. Steve would win in a vote in a heartbeat. Lets vote for commissioner. Every other BOE commissioner is the state has to be voted in by the county committee. Except in Nassau where they backdoor the appointments. I would bet in a head to head match Sabbeth wins in a landslide. Mini me is that weak.
BLUMBLUM

MAY AS WELL BRING BACK BLUM TOO!
Blummy

Bringing Blum back can be arranged,.
Advice to Blum
05-21-2005, 02:17 PM
Bringing Blum back can be arranged,.
If you want to return with a large salary this is what you have to do. Run a primary against the legislative candidate in Long Beach. Cost the party $65,000 opposing you and when you lose threaten to do it again. You will assured a healthy paycheck from JJ in return.
Our party rewards disloyalty and punishes those who work hard for the party.
The Twombly Setup
05-21-2005, 10:17 PM
The party leaders are made that Gerry was working for the Republicans. So at petition time they finally hire him back (remember they once ran campaigns against him. Now he's their buddies). So they get Gerry's backstabbing friend Gerard Terry to assure him he will be welcomed back in the party with open arms.
Now Gerry has disrespected the OB Reps by swicthing sides once again. And hw backstabs Marthy Offerman who helped him when he needed a job the most. So now he puts himself in a point of no return with JJ and the Dems.
After JJ uses him one last time he will cut him loose (thats what he has told those upset with the rehire). And achieve what he had failed to do years age. That is making sure Gerry never works in Nassau Politics again. If I were Gerry I would ask for my OB job back. Its the only one that will last past July.
Not by Choice
05-22-2005, 03:06 AM
He might be back by court rule. Wrongful termination has its perks. If he's bounced again after a favorable ruling - there's a sure fire lawsuit waiting to be paid out of county funds.
Liberal Gerry
05-22-2005, 11:44 AM
Gerry is anti-choice. That's even worse than working at the BOE with Eleanor SCiglywigly and Ray Gara Foil able.
Gerry's Friend
05-22-2005, 12:18 PM
Why do you say that? Complaints about the place before him - while he's there, after he left and now that he's back again! It seems somebody just has a vengenance against him - or is very jealous of him - and is just reaming him no matter what he does.
Not The Point

The point is last year JJ made every BOE employee walk peititions against him. Now he hires him and puts in the same building as the people who had walked against him and who he vowed to get even with. Its a slap in the face to all BOE employees.
I'm glad Gerry's has a job again. But he should have be placed at OTB or some other agency. What his re-hiring shows is how irrational the party chair is.
Irrational Democrats
05-22-2005, 12:56 PM
Nothing the democrats do is rational as long as the party is being led by tom suozzi and his puppeteer master jay jacobs but the fact is where was the loyalty of these people who worked with gerry before and nevertheless petitioned against him now just because they were told to? What - were they hyponotized and put under some kind of spell? Where was THEIR LOYALTY ?? Seems they stabbed him in the back because they thought they could get away with it - but what goes around comes around and now you're all scared because HERE IT COMES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mini Me and Twombly

The only person Gerry should be mad at is his new boss. It was understood that you either walk the petitions or walk out the door. How can he blame the rank-and-file workers when they were in fear of losing their jobs. The peitions were handed out by Mini Me's staff at the BOE with a clear message. Do it or leave. No one there freely decided to walk against him.
Thats what makes this whole thing a joke. JJ has Mini Me force his staff to walk against Gerry and he get mad at them. Then they hire him back a year later at an big salary. Allowing Gerry to rub the satff's nose in the fact that he is back and making more than all of them.
Thats disrespect to your workers. And Mini Me wonders why he can't earn the respect of his employees. Those who want respect give respect. A simple concept these guys will never learn.
Fear of Losing your job?
05-22-2005, 03:13 PM
Who do you think you're kidding? The blame is in the right place. Nobody lawfully loses a job for political choices. In fact, you should lose your job if you were one of those people walking Hempstead Village instead of doing your job as you got paid to do those days. In fact - that's a crime you should be arrested for. And aren't you people civil service? Let's face - your disloyalty and patronizing ass kissing is what put you right where you are now - nobody forced you to get those signatures. Now the pudding lay sweet my friend and in November 2005 - when the Peterson crew comes to clean sweep the crew over the rest of the County - THEN all your cronies will face the fear you now have. The piper will play.
Try Again!!!!!!!!!

First, the employees at the BOE work at the pleasure of the commissioner. And many have been fired for politcal reasons. And they walked Hempsetad village for the same reason they walked against Twombly. They were forced to do it.
Also I did not collect signitures against Gerry.
And I too hope for a Peterson victory. But that has no effect at the BOE as it is a bi-partisan board.
Understood
05-22-2005, 03:50 PM
So they all hold patronage jobs and sold themselves and their brother out to keep their lousy jobs and now they complain? Sorry - still voluntary. You make your decisions and you pay the consequences. You choose the job - you pay the costs. It was a choice. You could have gotten a lawyer and gone to the DA and the State BOE. You didn't. This is where apathy gets you. That's why we all must come out in November and vote in Peterson and out these imbeciles. All of them. They all made their choices to work for suozzi and JJ and that includes the holdovers from Gulotta days because they are making their choices now too.

Understood doesn't understand. These people have families. You can not blame htem for doing what they are told to do, You talking about government employees being ordered to work against their will or be fired. The DA does not care. Newsday does not care. Where they to turn. Nowhere. Thats why they must suffer under this current administration.
These are very good people. They need not be harassed every time the bosses have a wimp to run against another Democrat. Thats just out and out wrong. And if we were in Suffolk county it would be a crime. Denis Dillon will never investigate politcal crimes. He never has and never will.
We all have families

But some of us have something called integrity, self esteem and a sense of moral judgment. We are proud of what we do, or we would find other jobs. IT's called holding your head up and sleeping at night. You sold out your soul - and in the long run - taught your kids bad values - so you could keep a cushy job instead of having to actually get out there and find WORK. How do you live with yourself?

I did just that. But I have money and no family to support. But its funny you said what you said above. I have a decision for a administrative law judge that said its incredable as a matter of law for someone to quit a job just to be able to hold his head up high. Its a fact. There are transcripts to prove it.
And after that you want others to trust the system. Don't balme the people at the BOE for not doing the right thing. Talk to Denis Dillon and others who turns a blink eye to the complaints filed by those who want to do the right thing.

I finally can live with myself and can hold my head high. I lost a cushy job and haven't needed to work since then (not because of the job). I think I restored my moral judgement and have self esteam and integity back.
As a matter of fact when given the option to return to my job or be blackballed I chose the latter and cited the same things you did above. And refused to return three seperate times. And they did what they threatened to do. And I accept it as a badge of honor.
But to expect others to do the same knowing that Newsday and the DA will allow it is unreasonable. You assume that their complaints will be followed up. That won't happen. Without that being the case you should expect and understand everyone towing the party line.
It's not their fault. You can only blame yourself, Denis Dillon, Newsday, and others that accept this current system.

What a team.
You want to talk about "integrity" and "moral judgement." They both lack integrity and have the morals of sewer rats. Talk about two guys who have "sold their souls" instead of finding real "work." How do these two live with themselves???
You got to be kidding "We all have Familes" to defend these guys and throw those comments out at the rest of us.
Then Vote Row A

What comes around will go around. They get Gerry to quit his job with the Reps and turn against Rocco and Cyndi. He was advising both insurgent candidates only a week ago. Now this wicked crew bought him off and will use him for the petition period. Then they will set him free once more leaving him no where to turn.
They turned on Gerry four years ago and he is putting his trust in these same guys. Its Gerry who needs a lesson in history and loyalty.
One again its a case of "fool me twice same on me. Same same on you Gerry.
Will JJ Bury Gerry
05-25-2005, 10:11 PM
This could be the end of Gerry. How can he put his employment future in the hands of the same person who tired to destroy him for the last four years. Has he lost all his senses. Doesn't he see that after peitition time he will become useless to JJ once again. And what happens when the Dems lose the Legislature and JJ needs to open up some salary lines. Wanna bet that Gerry is the first to go at the BOE. How dumb is he????
The Talented Mr. Gerry

Good luck Gerry. You are very talented and others see that. I'm sure this has been one of the many bumps in your carreer.  :D
Fool Me Twice
05-26-2005, 08:11 PM
Alot of people are naive enough, optimistic enough or just plain stupid enough to get fooled twice.
Look at the people of Glen Cove - Suozzi destroyed the town yet they supported him in 2001 and then again when he carried out his vendetta against Sidikman - even though losing Sidikman was strike two against Glen Cove. It's llike those people are masochists.
And Look at the dumb rabbits supporting Suozzi in 2005, even though he's destroyed Nassau County. Did you ever notice, the dumber somebody is - the more passionate they are about Suozzi?

Gerry Twombly is no joke. He is a smart, dedicated worker, and if you're questioning his loyalty because eons ago, he deserted the Matthews sinking ship and went over to Team Sabbeth, then it's you who has a problem, not Twombly. I only wish him the best, which is what he deserves. BTW, I'm not Gerry Twombly.

Him abandoning Rocco and Cindy. He was helping them only weeks ago and now has walked away.
And thats the whole point of this thread. He was hired only so he would be disloyal to them as well as the OB Republicans who he now works for. Then he will be history. Why do you think they have been jerking him around regarding his start date.
Fool me once.

It is rumored that Kevin Langberg will re-place Gerry Twombly in the Town of Oyster Bay. There's no turning back know Gerry. If the Dems cut you loose you've cooked your goose.

this is jerry donnelly ( my only qualification for this job was being jay's college roomate) and i'm holding 2 cs 39's with your name on it. the first one has a start date and the other has a termination date on it.
Jay thanks you for not walking against him during your time at the BOE and we say thanks by giving you your walking papers after the petition period is over.
Shame on You....

Not a joke you say. Perhaps you really don't know anything about him or his history. Perhaps you really are him doing one of your usual dirty tricks. Just ask about what happened to his job at the LI Board of Realtors. He sold Matthews out in a heartbeat and then sucked up to Sabbeth just as quick as Sabbeth won at the convention. He sucked up to Republicans and got a high paying job. Now he has sucked up to Jacobs and once again got a high paying job. Some people will never learn not to trust him. Perhaps they just fear the dirty tricks that he is known for. He could sell used cars as new at a junkyard. When you shake hands with him, quickly count to make sure none of your fingers are missing. His only loyalty is to himself.
terry sneaking out
06-07-2005, 07:49 PM
How is this any different than Gerard Terry sneaking out of DiNapoli's HQ the night of the 2001 primary and showing up at Suozzi's HQ trying to pretend he was not the driving force behind most of the 2001 "culture of intimidation" just as he is the driving force behind the 2005 culture of intimidation.

Gerry in a Closet
06-13-2005, 04:01 PM
What a Suber position Gerry got at the BOE. He has been placed in a closet with nothing to do. Good move Gerry. Thank God its only temporary. But this time next month you'll be out on the street.
Like you he like's to say about the chairs attempt to oust him last year "When you hunt someone you better kill him." But the jokes on him "you can also hunt something then cage them." Welcome to your new captivety.
Gerry be ready to get fired once petitioning is over, what a dumb move, you would figure that since these guys are known for their tricks that you would realize what is going on. I feel bad for you but you did it to your self.

Gerry I have a letter for you on July 21st. Gerard Terry and Bob McDonold wrote it so don't blame me. I'm just sitting here waiting for the new Grisham book to be released. By the way you should read them. Most of them entail political conspiresies.
I would ask you to read the Pelican Brief, The Firm and of course the Power Broker. What we will do to you is less complex but much more like poker. Your such a Joker.
Tom Cruise and Denzel Washington are not actors in this drama. Its just you and the crew that has betrayed you. Better check your carma.
Would be a great story if set in Mississippi as most Grishman novels are then. But this setting is not in the swamps of Mississippi but in then swamps of Tom and his friends.
Gerry your about to be fed to the musk rats that rome the NShore Day Camp. If you have'nt figured this out yet your dummy than the Oyster Bay ticket that was a rubber stamp.
While in Glen Cove, wake up and smell the low tide. They will have your hide. You will have no were else to hide.
Tom be cleaver, Jay holds the stick. Gerry has no one else to blame by his friends. How pathatic. Gerard claims to care, McDonald gives assurances. Both will be glad when are no more to them.
But as I disgress I must finally confess, giving you walking papers is my a feather in my nest. How dumb were you to trust this charde. When you are down and out just remember Jay. Because he finally found a way to make you pay.
