It was lame! Patty A had to beg the audience to applaud Tisch's nomination. The reception of Spota was cool at best. You know things are bad when your leader introduces the incumbent sheriff as someone you probably don't know. What has happened to our party? Rich Schaffer was there, which was bizzare, and was mobbed w/ people. Our committee people seemed more interested in Schaffer than our own candidates.

Notice there weren't that many people there?
With all of the primaries, factions, and in-fighting we're lucky we had enough to almost fill the room. You know the Dems are loving watching us waste time while we eat our own - jeez, I wonder why we keep losing.

The Republican party in Suffolk is dead.

Tisch's Mistakes

What was Al Tisch's demise?

Very simple, he:

1) trusted the wrong people

2) believed the wrong people

3) put faith in the wrong people

4) gave too much power to the wrong people

5) didn't communicate with anyone other than the wrong people

6) surrounded himself with the wrong people

7) PISSED OFF THE WRONG PEOPLE

8) forgot to lose that judge mentality

And now these "wrong" people will give him the "wrong" IDEA that he will probably win the Sheriff Election.

WRONG AGAIN, BUCKO.

I noticed the crowd was smaller then normal but the Suffolk Young Republicans are really starting to step up with numbers and strength. Heck with all the huge problems happening in the republican parties I have come to the conclusion that the young republican party is the only salvation for this party. Seriously think about it. Everyone knows all the problems I don't need to write about them. However, look at this. The young republican party keeps growing and growing. Now the yr party is starting to show up at the fund raisers at the convention in the letters to editor section on the political message board (like this post...yes I am a member) and even challenging the higherups at town conventions. Plus the young republican party is pretty much the only website to get updated countywide info involving suffolk republican party at www.suffolkyoungrepublicans.com Either towns like Islip dont have websites or Suffolk County's Republican Committee hasnt been updated in years. Simply said I am glad the future looks bright and I will leave it at that

Danny was pete mcgowan and richie schaeffer holding hands at the convention? Inquiring minds want to know.
It seems like yesterday, correct me if Iam wrong, didn't you have a web site on the suffolk community college bulletin board 11 or 12 years ago? pete mcgowan is also the president of the flat earth society and a memeber of the Ludite community, so there will be no web site for the people. Besides pete thinks reading is bad.
How does it feel for the young republicans to be around so many...... dinosaurs!!! Cesar trunzo pete mcgowan, owen johnson you just know they love computers and technology. If it's not something you could find in a bar, mcgowan wants nothing to do with it. The "young republicans" better clean house or the party will be destroyed and soon.
