TERRYVILLE by far is the best

West Babylon is tops in the first division; plenty of Active members, from all stations. Quick response times and efficient operation.

Those of you who are fixated with knocking the vollies remember who you turned to after 911. Remember who opend their fire houses to let you remember your fallen. Paid and Volunteer are brothers now and forever. Drop the hardline it only makes you far smaller than those who have gone before you

There are many good departments in both counties. Brave and dedicated men and women who dont need a pay check to help those in need. I think Massapequa does a great job. Very active, very well trained. Hicksville is also up there too.

How about suffolk?

GREAT RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT IS BY FAR THE BEST IN SUFFOLK. We do the most training and are great at putting fires out. We have the best fire call to working fire ratio!!!!!

Dix Hills FD/Rescue may not be the best but it certainly ranks up their among Suffolk County FDs in terms of response time, mutual aid percentages, as well as both level and standard of care.
