When was the last time you were down by the waterfront in Bellmore, Wantagh, Merrick, East Rockaway or visited the 5 towns or Garden City? You idiot. Those are some of the most beautiful, middle class and upper middle class areas in Nassau County - where real people live as compared to the trust fund babies in Locust Valley that Tom Suozzi caters too. The problem is that thanks to TOM, we are having problems with border control - because his NYC seasonal parks employees keep coming in with their extended "famililes" and illegals are trying to sneak into our schools because some of them border Queens and our police staff was cut by more than 500 officers. TOM and his betrothed ACORN and his supporter FRED BREWINGTON keep bringing "civil rights" lawsuits from the people who destroyed Hempstead, Roosevelt and parts of Valley Stream and that caused the reassessments and now they want low income housing to be built in Garden City because (bo hoo hoo) they can't afford to otherwise live there. LEVINSON wants to add to this A FREAKING INCOME TAX JUST LIKE QUEENS HAS and he wants to LEGALIZE ILLEGAL HOUSING BY MAKING THE LANDLORD GIVE HIM MORE TAX MONEY (I'll close my eyes to what's going on if you let me call you a commercial property). This is their "solution" to the problem that TOM created with his day laborer camps that he sets up and his support of Reverend Reverez and his illegal latino gangs and sex abuser immigrants - who keep falling down over the streets of Nassau County and suing or crashing their SUV's into people and getting "injured" which costs the taxpayers even more money to keep them here, more than the increased housing price and school taxes does. People like you who hold on to the past and REFUSE to see what Suozzi's policies are really doing to this County are the real problem - and it has nothing to do with jobs. It has to do with the quality of life in Nassau County being destroyed by a do nothing but talk Nickerson protege --- who can't get out of Nassau County and leave behind his County Executive job fast enough. You Mondello thugs fail to remember Tom Gullotta and Peterson and the forces that were with them were the ones who cut funding to the Nassau County Youth Board, and many other family and youth service organizations when they were running the county broke.

LOL You hit it right on the head... Elmont has been allowed to fall down the drain and its most likely beyond all help. The Queens boarder is now Meacham Ave. The blame is to be shared on both the republican and democrats who have done NOTHING over the past DECADES.

If you get stuck with some ghetto like neighborhoods - while - the people did it to themselves and no sense in pouring money or time there when they're only gonna drink it away and destroy it all over again. If they are serious about their neighborhoods - let them do something to start taking care of it and their schools themselves - instead of trying to invade places like Garden City by complaining about no low income rentals being built there. When the people who live there start acting like responsibile adults and taking care of their own families and their property - then maybe the TOH can pitch in and do something.

TOH keeps costs down - our parks, our pools - everything - all town fees are cheaper than County fees and TONH fees. Even though Suozzi gave TONH $3 million dollars and 9 parks - they still charge twice as more. $10 a day for their own residents to go the beach - it's outrageous. I thought the $5.50 for TOH beaches was too much. The County needs to be more viligiant about letting outsiders use County facilities - or making them pay through the nose. TOH charges non-residents $16 - so does TONH. County doesn't even have people checking leisure passes anymore - anyone can walk in and use Eisenhower Park - and look how much that costs us for upkeep and improvements. None of which Suozzi has accomplished of course, but still. Non-residents shouldn't be allowed in or should have to pay, pay, pay. Same with public schools. If you have kids in the school - you should have to pay unless you own property and pay regular school taxes.
