Alas, another "isolated incident" involving sexual abuse and a student rape involving students at Mepham H.S. in Bellmore, a community with such high moral values that even the Pizza Man on the corner has a sign in the window of his store asserting that everyone should all be so lucky to live here.

No doubt the school board will respond with typical arrogance, refusing comment on a "on-going investigation", blaming the parents of these children and generally upholding the low moral values of their wealthy breathern on the school boards of the component districts.

What do they care, about 3 of the 8 CHSD school board members actually have children in these drug-invested, crime ridden, twisted values, underperforming, mediocre government funded schools located in Bellmore and Merrick. If you ask these folk about quality public education they point to about 6 semi-finalists in the Geek Scientist program while 200 students fail to achieve state standards in 8th grade math - quite an accomplishment considering 93% of the same students met the standards the last time they were tested in 4th grade.

So, ignore the rape. Ignore the Hazing Scandal. Ignore the high taxes. Ignore the lack of accountability on the part of the administration.

Keep the campus open.
Keep tenure and the teachers who ceased to care a long time ago.
Keep the pot on the dining room table.
Keep the liquor cabinet open.
Keep the all-access anytime cable and internet service running.
Keep the money flowing.
Keep the standards lowering.
Keep expressing outrage ... then don't do a thing.

These are.....Bellmore/Merrick Community Values on display once again.

You name it, every conceivable designer drug money can buy. This community has so much money the parents and the schools can't keep track of it all.

This is what happens when irresponsible parents educate their children to live and let live, to make sure whatever you do feels good and go for the gusto!

What these spoiled parents need is some responsible adult to show their children that SOMEBODY loves them and is interested in their safety by closing the campus, restrict parking on campus to staff only and providing real role models in the class rooms....not sports education faculty who tolerate hazing, bullying and brutality.

Some years back, racism gripped a part of this wealthy white/liberal/Jewish south shore community as the adjacent Roosevelt School System teetered on the edge of collapse and South Bellmore/Merrick parents feared the potential infusion of these unwanted blacks into their lilly white schools, with their lilly white ass spoiled brat children.

Economists however argued the move would be a market efficiency, bringing the buyers of drugs closer to the sellers.

What a suprise. I saw nothing in the paper I would have loved for it to hit on Super Tuesday. Bellmore Merrick needs a full change with the Board and Administration district wide and in the BUILDINGS.

Let me ask this. How is it that Bellmore makes a million dollar mistake on tax bills, the superintendent goes on TV and accepts full responsibility, yet his SUBORDINATE, gets canned?

Meanwhile, 5 students get various foreign objects shoved up their rectums at a football camp under the supervision of district staff, news of the incident is suppressed by administrators, a report on the incident won't be released by the district and not one person, NOT ONE, loses a job or pay or perks or tenure?

These are the twisted moral values of our school boards - MONEY COUNTS, STUDENTS can be raped, bullied, harassed, abused and who cares!

Bellmore has some real twisted values.

Congrats to the Bellmore School District for voting the budget down. It’s a shame that the residents of the Merrick, North Bellmore, North Merrick passed there budget but also passed the Bellmore-Merrick budget. Maybe with one budget voted down and Bellmore-Merrick CHSD only passing by 40 votes the administrators will get a clue. NOT
