Speaking of the upcoming school budget vote, let's get out and VOTE and say NO to the 6% raises the Board just approved for Brande & Saffer who are already making more than they deserve.
You can't tell me that $225,00 isn't enough for ANYONE. You can't tell me we need to pay ANYONE more than $225,00 to ensure academic excellence. How does giving them a 6% increase help? It's too late for a NO VOTE ON THEIR 6% Raise this year! This is out of control. Did the other employees, teachers, aides, maintenance department (Mitchell Jr and pal's) get a nice raise as well.

The published budget has money but DOES NOT have that much money. It has about 100K LESS... The G&M boys "found" some money from another project that came in under allocation. Instead of moving the saved funds to some place inside the school... THEY MOVE IT OUTSIDE... to where LAX plays!

Yes it was in the bond, but flexible - It doesn't have to be over $300k, bathrooms and a security center, etc, This facility was talked about being available for less than $200,000 but King Gong neeeds his $300k hotdog stand, probably so his people can run it eventually, WAKE UP Comsewogue!!!!!!!!

Brande is a piece of garbage who only thought of himself and his own agendas. Is there hope ....I hope with new power their may be but this district is soon to go bankrupt with the mistake he made with that Mitchell saga. Sources tell me she has a strong case and the evidence is pretty tight. All he had to do was transfer the guy before all this got out of hand. He doesn't deserve a penny of his pension . He did not earn it but rather took advantage of others for personal gain. I would love to see his district charge card bill and all his daughters and wifes gifts charged. It's a shame.

I would also like to know just what "Employee Benefits" Brande gets for $62,236 a year. Ditto for the Deputy & Asst. who get $39,187 & $25,165 respectively.

And just what constitutes "Other Renumeration" anyway? Brande gets $9,100 per year and the Deputy gets $16,710 per year.

These people are grossly overpaid and we're just along for the ride. Don't get me wrong, I think the majority of Superintendent's across L.I. are overpaid, but this is the only one we can do anything about.

If anybody out there can explain to me why we should continue to approve of these outrageous salaries year after year I would love to hear it. It's not like we have an outstanding school district like Miller Place. Oh, any by the way, their Superintendent makes LESS than Brande and their school is ranked #73 in the COUNTRY according to Newsweek. Mount Sinai also gets paid less. So what are we getting for our money? $300,000 score boards?

Because their STATE AID RATE is high so they pay less than 10 CENTS on the dollar for those salaries.
