ABORTION? NOT TAXES?

Why is Suozzi, who's invested so much time arguing that Nassau, and counties generally, get screwed by Albany on State Aid taking this moment in time (when school taxes are on the ballot next week) to promote a new stand on abortion policy when people are facing 8-12% higher property tax bills?

Is he tone deaf or something? Abortion, not taxes? The timing is so out of whack I just don't get it?

School taxes are a touchier issue than abortion.

Suozzi is using the issue as a distraction. If he can focus people on abortion, he will get them to focus on the republican's opposition to abortion. By pushing alternatives, he is essentially endorseing abortion in concept, but taking a middle ground approach. He is trying to infuse a national issue into local politics. And you know what...it will probebly work.

I agree,, what a dirtbag trying to use an issue that is sacred to so many for a stepping stone. An issue that suddenly he so conveniently finds important. One that he was always on the other side of the fence with until now. I guess it couldn't have anything to do with his fantasy gov fetish,could it now. A liberal Dem trying to decieve the Conservative exec committee with a smoke screen of B S and Newsday once again patting him on the head...Whats worse is bogstead, what kind of leader is he. The man is so far up souzzi's - - - he has forgotten that conservative party was started because of liberal Dems like his boss souzzi .. What a disgrace to even suggest that he is pro life. This man is no Conservative,never was and the only ones eating that slop are rodgie and his 10 cronies with there take home S.U.V's and high paying political PATRONAGE jobs.
