Huntington Democrats Close Day Labor Site and Newsday Hardly Raises a Peep

When the day labor site was shut Newsday hardly mentioned it in passing. The last ten years Newsday has been a staunch and advid supporter of allowing the site to remain open over the objections of the local residents. So why now not a word about it when it's closed ?

It's obvious to the people in the town that Congressman Israel wants to be re elected. Having that site open bringing in illegal aliens for work and some of them hardened criminals is not conducive to winning an election.

The cold facts of gang and violent crime in the area having been bolstered by this illegal site and the closing of an elementary school because it's no longer safe to send your kids there, is a testimonial to how dishonest and corrupted our political leaders and the media like Newsday have become.

To them closing the day labor site to stop illegal aliens from entering the town looking for work from employers who did not pay taxes was wrong. To close the site to stop the spread of crime and gang activity and to stop the violence was wrong. Funny that Huntington's Business Industrial district wants the BOE to re-open the elementary school despite all the violence when members of the BID helped to bring the violence to the neighborhood.

OZ Development owned the land that the illegal aliens used to find work illegally so employers would not have to pay taxes.

OZ development made millions off the backs of Huntington taxpayers.

You can all thank Steve Israel, Frank Petrone, Jon Cooper, Lou D'Amaro and the other democrats on the town board for allowing Huntington Station to be a ghetto.

It would have been nice if Newsday had investigated the wrong doing and corruption surrounding the local governments involvement with the real estate industry but unfortunately Newsday priorities are to protect Democrats,illegal aliens,slumlords at all cost.
