Republicans are backing away from endorsing Steve Levy in the next run for Suffolk County Executive. It seems that Mr Levy does not work and play with others. So who will the Republicans endorse?

The done deal is that there will be a GOP primary.
unless levy appoints alot of GOPer's to those dem holdover positions
The PBA will fund any GOP candidate to primary Levy
who knows mabe Frailer, just to make Stevy burn up some of hiswar chest.
Scahfer wants levy primary for same reason.
Hey steve hows that fundraising going?
Angie and Joe Sawicki could easily beat levy in a primary.

Steve just had a huge fundraiser where all the proceeds went into his war chest. Even he knows that the conservative republicans don't support him.
And if he is in a primary with AC he will lose. I think the issues surrounding his wife's business are only the tip of the iceberg. The interested parties will be digging through everything he has ever done or owned. I am not sure how many of us could survive such scrutiny. And anything that hurts him now will hurt him in his future political efforts. It may not be worth it for him to seek another term.

You don't get it. Steve is all about "reform" he intends to take issue with the retirement system. The fat cat republicans like the system just the way it is. They are even upset with the tier 5 for new comers. County jobs are no longer worth what they use to be. What fat cat wants to get his kid a job where they have to work 40 hours before they get overtime and have lousy medical benefits when he can send them to OTB and call the shots. Levy has dug a hole for himself that even his smoke and mirrors can't get him out of.

He may have a hard time with AC and Mr S, but he will win. Even the Rep. know he has held down cost. Look who is talking about running for the spot on the otherside: PN, SB , he got it. Everyone knows if they put AC in there the PD cost will go over the roof, JS has no know-how on anything . The 1st thing AC will do is raise taxes and blame Levy for it, we all see that !!

The first thing any new County Exec will have to do is raise taxes and it is Steve Levy's fault no doubt about it. Mr S. is a real good choice.

How the hell is it Steve Levy's fault? You people are out of your minds. Because Levy hasnt rraised taxes it is his fault the next CE will have to raise taxes? That is logic beyond explaination.
Oh well , type until your fingers bleed, the County taxpayers will re elect Levy anyway

STEVE HAS RAISED TAXES FOR EVERY YEAR HE HAS BEEN IN OFFICE. JUST LOOK AT YOUR POLICE TAX.IT HAS INCREASED EVERY YEAR. LEVY SEPARATED THAT FROM THE GENERAL TAX SO IT WOULDN'T LOOK LIKE HE RAISED TAXES EVERY YEAR. THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE. LEVY HAS RAISED TAXES EVERY YEAR HE HAS BEEN IN OFFICE.

This tactic aint gonna work very much. Levy has overwhelming support from the public.
The Dems are about to be destroyed in this fall election.

The cops "God Bless Them" are still smarting from losing their overtime on the LIE. The deputy sheriffs are doing an admirable job and at cost to taxpayers 1/3 less than when the police did the work.

No cop was let go no public employees lost their jobs. Levy is not perfect but he tackled head on a powerful union and he knows full well like police commissioner Dormer, that many of the high crime areas in Suffolk are in areas with very very large immigrant populations with illegal aliens being a monumental problem.

Every other politician stuck their head in the sand and shied away from the issue and the leftist media. Not Levy. He's got my vote and many others supporting him.

.

Actually, the county hasnt been too happy with the exorbitant amount of money the Sheriff has been spending on this highway fiasco. Word is they are looking foward to the perb decision to come out so they can put SCPD back on the highways.

This is one of the only desicions Levy has made while being CE, and it has completey failed the public. The only thing he did was have the PBA members spend their union dues on lawyers fees. Levy never worried about that because his lawyer fees were coming out of the taxpayers pocket.
