Anyone who gets a chance please check out page 3 of the Islip Bulletin. I originally called up asking what the email address to the letter to the editor was because I wanted to thank Owen Johnsons office publically and they called me back and asked to make a news item about it. The basics are children were running across sunrise and getting struck and either killed or severly injured for life. Around 2002-2003 funding totally dried up and Owen's team specifically Gordon Canary fought hard made the right calls and got the project back on track. If you drive by the sunrise highway section in west islip you will see the fence up now that prevents kids from needlessly dying. I would like to personally thank everyone who fought hard for the fence

I have dealt with politicians on all levels. Owen Johnson is always first to say it. His crew is probably the best most effective crew in Albany. You email a question and you get a response within 24 and its never a on the fence answer. It's direct to the point and they follow up. Strong team. Strong leadership.

Survival of the fittest. The fence was a waste of money. Maybe mommy and daddy should keeps tabs on their little dopes and then we wouldn't have to waste taxpayers money on fences. Maybe if they are too stupid to be able to cross the road without getting hit we probably dont need them procreating and passing on their stupid genes.

Darwin also stated the weakest die first. Since your a weak coward afraid to put your name next to your beliefs I guess your time is near. As for Pathmark quote from above. Great intel...I worked their over 2 years ago. As far as the Dump McGowen site. The picture of a town worker doing his job is ironic that it is put up. The law states that nobody is allowed to put any signs on telephone polls. It is a distraction and clutter looks disgusting. So for someone to use a telephoto lense to show an Islip town employee doing their job is um kinda stupid. Plus who knows maybe it was after the election. Who knows? Ironically no time stamp on a surveillance camera hmmm. OK back to Darwin...How about some Malcolm X if you want to quote anyone. "If you stand for nothing you will fall for anything." Well you can't even stand by your name so ya keep falling.

Danny before you jump to any conclusions please hear me out and see the evidence I have. I know you and I know if you have all the facts you will get the right conclusion. I know how well intentioned you are, Don't look for leadership from these people of which you speak,be a leader yourself!

The points made are interesting. My theory on Pete McGowen is this. From a business point. He is a master CEO. Remember, the Town's biggest known thing was the garbage barge. That is what we were put on the map for. Being known as a town that couldnt get rid of their garbage! Pete came in and now we are known for our airport. From a political stand point. Pete has made some decisions that I havent liked but in the end you got to look at the whole picture and I think he overall will be remembed as a good supervisor who was very strong in his resolution
