According to Newsday, Jay will not support Rocco for cleck because he wants a "ticket that looks more like the party." Does that mean we must field our candidates from the city, Suffolk, or the Republican and Conserative parties.

Do we have to screen them to make sure they lack ethics and ability. Because thats the face of our current Nassau Democratic party. Longtime hardworking local Dems need not apply to this club.

Sorry Rocco. A hard working upstanding Dem like yourself who has proven he can do the job have no place on this ticket.

What a phoney

In last Monday's Newsday article by Rick Brand, Jay talking about another race said " ticket balancing often goes out the window because New York Democrats are prone to primary battles. "here, the voter decide".
Go read it for yourselves. So which one is it Jay, or is it only the primaries you control that are good?

Rocco's gonna win hands down. Why go through the motions of a primary?

Ticket 2 Ride

Cindy Farrell, who haquit her job with the DA, and should, is just part of the game plan. She is a payback to Dillon and his pal Peter King for the Sylver/ Dennenberg cover-up. If Rocco drops out of the race, Peter King's daughter will be announced and win as Miss Farrell, who lives at home with mummy and daddy, gets blown out of the water.

Correction please

Just so I understand: The County Democratic Party is choosing to support a young unmarried female government lawyer who lives at home with her parents; does not pay property taxes or have a mortgage in her name for the County Clerks job? Instead of the former Clerk of the County Legislature and the current elected Receiver of Taxes of North Hempstead? What are her qualifications? If she loses the primary isn't it obvious she will be given a job in Suozzi's County attorneys Office? Why are Democratic Committee people accepting this? CLEARLY THIS IS A SET UP JOB FOR DENNIS DILLON''S GODDAUGHTER (ERIN KING-SWEENEY) TO WIN. For shame, Democrats, if you don't give Rocco the nomination.

A Suggestion For Jay

Well, then do us all a favor Jay Babes.... Why don't you and your boss-man Tom Suozzi quit your jobs as Chairman of the Nassau Democratic Party and Nassau County Executive, and hand them over to an African American, lesbian giantess and a psychotic, pre-op, transexual Albanian dwarf, both of whom live in another state.

Funny, how Jay Jacobs one week wants to cross endorse an Male, Irish Catholic septagenerian Right to Lifer one week, and now wants a ticket which is every color of the rainbow.

You emphasize the fact that she is an unmarried female. What, women need husbands to hold elected office.

Does it bother you that there are unmarried males in Nassau County that currently hold elected office (let's not even mention the past)? Just to bring you up to date, women obtained the right to vote and can even make decisions for themselves without being married.

And I don't remember reading in the qualifications for Clerk, that Female Clerks must be married.

Stick to qualifications, experience and knowledge of the office being sought.

P.S. My comments have nothing to do with taking a side in the County Clerk's Race.

MS, your ardor for all things JJ and Suozzi are clouding your reading. I did not EMPHASIZE the fact that she is an Unmarried female, but it is a fact. I regularly send contributions to Lissane and it doesnt bother me one bit what her marital status is. But for someone running for office, let alone County-wide office , when are the powers that be going to introduce her to us? Her resume is all we have to judge her on, because we have not been given any other information. Although, JJ's comment of " a ticket that LOOKS like Nassau" EMPHASISES what issue he thinks is important. But in the final analysisyou are correct: her QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE should rule the day. ok, exactly what are her Q,E,K? How many real estate closings has she done, and had to wait for hours to record her deed at 240? Because she is in the Dillon DA's office, has she EVER practiced real estate law, which goes right to the issue of Q,E,F to be County Clerk? Suozzi and JJ want the soon to be primary to be about gender and color. Thats tragic. I think the next Clerk should have the Q,E,F to do the job well, and I'll write a big check to Rocco to help him.

Q,E,K-Agree. That's what the County Clerk's Race should be about. May the best person win.

FOI Karen Murphy is running for re-election so that should put a new face on the race.
Rocco would be better off not running at all and saving his money so that he can position himself as a leader in the Dem party when Tommy Tantrum losses at last. For lose he will, Thank God

If its true that Karen Murphy is running for re-election, the gameplan is crystal clear. Just get Celeste to do a story on the long line on the first floor of 240 trying to register a deed. Its been like that for 3 years and its another part of Karen's vendetta with the Bar Association. RUN ROCCO RUN!
