Looks like Josh Ketover is taking the bull by the horns...
He may be just what the party needs to pull back together and start fresh.

Can anyone verify that the republican coalition is talking about putting a 75 cent toll on the Long Beach Bridge for incoming traffic. Where will it end?

Meet the new dems. Meet the old dems. Nothing has changed except the wrapping. Ketover is just a younger better looking face than Nigro as a mouthpiece for Cammarato. The old cronies are set to destroy City Hall to take it back.

What do you base this on? Could it be that there actually is a new and fresh party that is getting itself together?

Ketover is a Suozzi guy.

I very much doubt that Ketover is a "Suozzi Guy". Suozzi doesn't have any "guys" per say. His self interest to maintain a majority in the county legislature is the sole reason he has any interest in Long Beach. Suozzi understands that there are vulnerable incumbent legislators (i.e. Toback, Mejias) and he wants to hedge his bet.
Tom sees that committee members in Long Beach are following Ketover and he anticipates a large Democratic turnout in Long Beach because of the polling data in Long Beach shows that the Republican Majority didn't deliver on their promise of a reduction of new construction (their campaign promise).
Correctly assessing this alliance would lead me to believe that Suozzi is a "Ketover Guy".
Didnt' deliver on promise

Really? They didn't deliver on their promise?
What new construction has been built and is being built in Long Beach that was initiated by and approved by the Republicans?
The hotel talk started with the old guard Democrats and that's who cut the deal - which incidentally - the Republicans have been blocking.

I do believe that Jimmy Hennesy and his "catcher" Tom "My daddy will have you arrested" Sofield campaigned on the promise, "we will not support the Superblock". "At least not until we can financially benefit from it personally." Mona's discounted suite is gonna be fantastic. I really hope I get an invite to the house warming party.
By the way, does the Carpenters Union know that it's being built by non-union workers? I doubt it.
Didn't the Republicans also promise no tax increases? I guess having your garbage picked up and using water is optional. "No, Mr. Garbageman I don't want my garbaged picked up today, so there's no need for a FEE".
