By voting NO in the school budget vote.
VOTE NO MORONS!!!!

No shit Sherlock. VOTE NO ON YOUR DAMN SCHOOL BUDGETS!!!
EVERY YEAR YOU MORONS VOTE THESE BUDGETS IN NO PROBLEM THEN BITCH ABOUT HOW HIGH THE TAXES ARE.
Under threats of cutting poor little Bobby and Suzies programs you robots vote in the budgets. We the people have no one to blame but ourselves.
If we voted no no no continuously until these thieving administrators and teachers (YES I SAID TEACHERS, HEAVEN FORBID) got the point that we've had enough, nothing is going to happen.
Whey do some districts have 2,3 and 4 Superintendents all making 300k + per year? Its and absolute joke and raping of the taxpayers.
300k for 9 months work per year, bankers hours.
Absolute joke. Wake up you morons and vote no, its your God Given American Right !!!!

The school budget votes are generally useless for controlling the budget.
The jobs provided by the schools mean that like the other districts, the votes are pretty much determined by the folks and families who benefit monetarily from the system. Add to this that the district administration runs the election with no oversight. Go figure who will win in the long run.
So let's say next may there is a uprising of the morons. If the budget is voted down it simply reverts to the prior year amount. Since morons don't get pleasure from complexity they become bored again and we are back to where it started.
The system needs to be fixed. Americans are users and breakers; fixing is not what we do or admire. In fact fixing takes education and training. What's wrong here?

Im not a teacher, nor ia anyone in my family. I have been very ver happy with the education my kids have gotten thus far. While I agree the schools administration is top heavy I have no beef with the teachers salarys. In all honesty though I do believe people with kids in the system should pay extra

You will never see school taxes go down seeing 60% of them go toward salaries, pensions and health insurance. You can thank the powerful teachers union for this nightmare. The remaining 40% goes toward infrastructure and even that's not enough seeing districts are constantly putting building improvement bonds on the ballot.

Governments federal, state and local can go bankrupt but school districts never.

I am a retired LIer. I can't afford the school taxes anymore. The student population is less than it was in the 60's ang 70's. Why do we need more administration. I say it's time to consolidate these admins.

Why the hell don't you just move and stop your bitching, Why don't you contact your elected officials in Albany and ask them why do the school districts on LI get 2 bits out of the apple, if the budget is struck down they can submit another or the same budget again, no where in the USA does anyone get 2 bits out of the same apple.

I don't have any issue with the level of education either but if you don't think the salary and benefits are too high well thats just not the consensus outside the teachers union. If families just paid when their kids attended school the cost would be astronomical. Presently the school tax on average is around $8500 per year with less than half the families with kids in school, if you had a pay as you go I would expect the cost at least double to $17,000 per year. Sounds like you are proposing home schooling. Remeber the school system already has an indirect subsidy from those parents thatc choose to send their children to private school.

That's a good idea. Let's extrapolate on that so that I don't have to pay as much for police services since I have never called the cops for anything. Let the people in the neighborhoods that use the police services pay for them. I don't have any senior citizens in my family so I don't think I should have to contribute to the senior citizen programs either. And I have my own health insurance so I don't want to contribute to the hospitals to pay for people without insurance.
I think I would come out way ahead if I only paid for the services I use.

I say what I say becasue I think while my kids education is awsome they do get a lot. I just think it wold be fair if people with kids paid a little more. Tax payers dollars go to the parks, but you still pay more to use them. The Police protect your neighborhood, if they werent around at all Im sure the result would be you would need them. While their may be no senios in you r family now, God willing you will live to be one

ya your are all right taxes are high on Long Island about $8-10,000 annually, oops! much cheaper oops! a $450,000 house at 2% pays about $9,000 in taxes much less, so you all should run to Fla for the break, oops annual income about $45,000 but the taxes are lower, what we need is people with this level of intelegance to leave so we can replace them with people that can think

Home sales have picked up in Levittown with the median price of 385,000. Levitt homes that are nice are selling.
