This budget is out of control! Are Peggy and Tina nuts? 15% is a burden this community cannot afford. We need to start trimming redundent positions and maybe more than 15 kids in a classroom is OK after all. I'm glad Joe LoShaivo is running again, him and Brady at least can balance the best for our kids against burdensome tax increases. Oh yea, CHRISTY JO LANG, are you kidding me! I thought I would move when the Patchogue First idiots won but if this psyco wins; fold up the tents. Don't forget May17 get out and vote!

I actually go to meetings so I can shed some light on the budget. The first proposal that the superintendent put out cut 8 teachers out of the budget through attrition and had an average class size of 24 or 25 which would have been about 8MM less than this budget.

However, for four weeks straight droves and crowds of people in the community thought kids would suffer with these positions being cut...including parents at the elementary level. I know for a fact because I've spoken to all of them except for Mr. Brady of course because he is absent without leave for month # 6 right now. None of them are happy with the increase. For the record, it was Mr. Kaiser AND MR. LOSCHIAVO who said publicly they would not support the budget if we eliminated 8 teachers through attrition and excessed 3 guidance counselors. So your comments about thanking God LoSchiavo and Brady there are hysterical. Brady hasn't been there all year and LoSchiavo advocated that these positions be restored and like he always does flip flopped when it came time to vote. Abstaining from voting for the budget when you were a part of the entire process is cowardly. And the two people who were most vocal about increasing class size abstain when its time to put up or shut up. So your'e hanging your hopes on a flip flopper and an MIA board member...good luck.
