the town should have a phone number to turn these people in. I am tired of having someone's tenant parkin front of my house, using our schools, our garbage services. Take a good look at your tax bill folks. While you are eating school tax out your ass, your neighbor, with his/her illegal rental is getting over big time, while money allocated for legal residents of this district gets used by renters

You can call code enforcement (Town of Islip) at 224 -5460 that's the complaint unit. Always get the name of the person you speak with.

You want action?

It's the simple theory of the squeaky wheel gets the oil.

Call....and call again.

And call tomorrow....get your neighbors to call...again again and again.

Call next week....twice a day....everyday...five days a week.

Trust me......it works.

Very soon....they will be so damn tired of hearing your voice...your neighbors voice..........they'll bend over backwards to get you to stop.

They don't solve the problem.....call again.

and again.

and again.

It works!

vote no school

In addition go to your local public library. Go to the reference section and get the Islip Town Code. Bring a bucket of quarters with you. Read the code and get each and every section of the Islip town law that your neighbor is breaking. Photocopy the sections and then write a letter to the Dept. of Code enforcement. CC a copy to the Town Attorney for added effect cc a copy to Snews12, Newsday and any friendly politicians you may have. Of course make sure you send it certified. Consider having as many neigbors as possible sign the letter also. When the Town (as I know they will) drops the ball go and hire an attorney from Nassau County and initiate an article 78 proceeding against the Town attempting to compel them to do their job. If you have to go that route raise holy hell w/ news 12, newsday, NY times Suffolk life etc. Additionally research the Suffolk County law pertaining to multifamily dwellings and then contact the county.

Yes, voting down school budgets is the answer to ALL of LI's problem, just like deporting illegal aliens.

No wonder some of you hate school teachers so much...you're dumb as rocks and surely were failures in school.

Eh, wrong, asshat. Not a teacher.

Lower teacher salaries...go ahead. Teachers in Virginia and North Carolina are getting paid 70 to 80 % what they are here.....and the cost of living is 1/2 . Let's give college educated people who don't work in the stock market 0 reason to stay on Long Island, so it will be populated by people who earn 6 figures in the city and the deez dat and does people who fix their mcmansions.

Consolidate districts, cut admin salaries, drop state mandates, then we can start talking about teachers salaries. Yes, some are making too much for too long. But that's not the only problem.
