The Comptroller, Joe Sawicki already did an audit. That's how they found out about Little Mike, his trips to the topless club on the taxpayers' money and his lies.

and all he gets is community service and a $10,000 fine?
That's OUR TAX DOLLARS he was stuffing into stripper's g-strings. Thanks Mike.
Now he can get a consulting job with some other goverment funded agency. I can't believe what these crooks get away with.
And thats just the stuff we hear about... :x

A small penalty for a guy getting $151,000 of taxpayers dollars a year.
Hope you had fun with our money Mike. Just what the hell did this thiefing clown do to justify $151,000 per year? Promote tourism? Honestly, if you weren't from here, would you take a vacation in Suffolk County? Suffolk County has hit an all time low and it's people like Mikey who make it that way. Thanks Mike. Hope you feel really good about yourself.
Let's see if I have the math right:
[Newsday - 4/22/05 - Page A20]
- S.C. Comptroller finds $350K missing under Hollander's watch
- As part of a plea, Hollander pays $10K in restitution & $9.7K to the DA's Office for "expenses," and also has to perform 840 hours of community service
- $350K - $19.7K = $330.3K
$330.3K / 840 hours = $393 per hour
Wow! Can I get a package like that, too? (and, I'll work for a lot less than $150K per yr. while conducting my scam)
What's next for Mr. Hollander? Appointment as OTB Chairman?

"Imagine his sentence and what he'd pay if he was a Republican "
Actually, he is a Republican. He was a Town Councilman in Smithtown while back. Served one term before he couldn't get reelected.
Financial officer at the Bureau was his buddy from the Nesconset Fire Department.
When Mike was sentenced to community service at the Red Cross, he wanted to try and do it at the fire house, where he has been fire commissioner and now his finance pal is now the Chief. The judge nixed it.

Not exactly how it sounds. They were buddies and the chief refused to sign off on any community service sheets.
