He also would not go along with his own co-workers who tried to pull him away. He knocked down one of his own, pushed a commuter into the roadway and began swinging at the cops. 2 were hurt. It was at this time the bum was arrested and rightfully so. Crazy what a few beers will make you do. Some just shouldn't drink.

Unrelated bit of FDNY history. A few years ago the FDNY was advised via a study that for liability purposes they should require all cheaufers to obtain CDL-B licenses. The city promptly disregarded this why? They disregarded it because if a bucket fairy got into an accident the threshold for DWI while utilizing a CDL is that much lower. In addition their is a drug testing component of obtaining a CDL that the FDNY brass knew would be a problem for too many guys.

Heres a hint. If you want to receive courtesy try acting like professionals. Heres a challenge for the ducks/bucket fairies/land pirates/overpaid manual laborers who pour water on a flame. Try and tell us with a straight face that you don't receive some form of courtesy for reasonable minor indescretions most of the time.

Mine being one of them. Me being the one who had to bear the additional expense of insurance for five years because some scumbag cop decided to cut a reckless vollie a break.

As a city fireman most of my friends are either cops or fireman. And we all get along great, go to each others company functions, houses and spend time with each others families.
