Why week after week do we bother sorting/bundling magazines and newspapers if Town Of Hempstead sanitation just dumps it into the same compactor on the truck? I see it happen over and over again.

What a waste of time not to mention resources. We taxpayers wind up footing the bill both in money and possible recyclable paper.

Recycling is a scam to get you programmed to the green movement where they are going to tax and control every aspect of our lives.

the town has sorters who sort through the shit at the facility patronage jobs and $ waste !!Thats why !!

Recycling workers are non-competitive-meaning who do you know to get the job while the guys who drive the trucks are competitive. They had to take a test. Or maybe it is vice verse. Anyway, the end result is there are some jobs in sanitation that are pure patronage. And without the sham of recycling those jobs could not be filled. If everyone got their jobs via a test, what would the Republicans in Hempstead do?

It an easy and fun job, just be careful not to tell the supervisor about the dead bodies passing by.
