According to today's Suffolk Life, Commissioner Dormer is also getting paid by the county to teach at Suffolk Community College. Once again, Mr. Levy had no idea about this job until very recently.

That means that Mr. Dormer collects:

1) His Police Department Salary
2) His Police Department/NYS Pension
3) His "consultant" salary from Sports Plus
4) and a teacher's salary from Suffolk Community College
5) Social Security (he just turned 65)

WOW. Christmas time in the Dormer house must be pretty nice!

I am certainly NO FAN of RD. But to your points:

1. He obviously is entilted to it. (Even though he shouldn't be PC)
2. He worked in the PD for a time and derserves every penny of it.
3. Aboslutely wrong and should resign because of it.
4. I know of at least 2 previous PC's who also taught at SCC.. I don't think thats an issue. Regular cops can teach on the side if they want.
5. So what.. hes paying into it too because hes working.

Now, if you want to make a list of reasons why he shouldn't be the PC.. well that would be pretty long.

I like your common sense response. Too bad I don't know who you are so I can determine if you are consistent.
