That's rich...a life-long popular Democrat who brought GOP domination of the Town Board to an end is somehow going to be toppled by a life-long recently defeated Republican who's spent his entire career proping it up and continues to insist that Blacks would do well by themselves to join him and the party of George Bush, Trent Lott and Tom DeLay!

Needless to say, there are already rumblings here that he's slated for a newly created Town of Hempstead position on the 4th floor....the latest member of the RLC, Republican Losers Club - move over Dave Levy, Greg Becker and the rest.

I got a rejection letter from Kate Murray saying the Town of Hempstead had a hiring freeze or something to that effect so it could hold the line on taxes. Does that mean I'm a winner?

From today's Rick Brand Newsday Column

Mondello attributed Garner's loss mainly to the erosion of support that usually accompanies an incumbent after a long tenure.

"When you're there 16 years, your clock is ticking and ultimately people decide it's time for a change," said Mondello.


By his own measure, this hypocrite should have been gone long ago! Time & political losses will catch up with Mondello soon enough.

Goosby is such a big fat hairy hypocrite. She is against Zoning Board of Appeals Member Benefits because they are part timers... But the last time I checked, Goosby's job as a Town Councilwoman is also part time... She needs to either give up her benefits or shut her stupid trap. She is a smelly hypocrite. As is everyone else who is posturing on this issue.
