The commissioners in Ambulance companies have no authority to do anything. Their only charge is to deliver the budget to the Town, they don't write the budget or anything they are basically a delivery service.

To I have an idea, i applaud you when you say, if you have something to say, say and sign it, but i fail to see your name at the bottom of your post. For anyone who knows about the freedom of information act, all you have to do is go down to the Town of Brookhaven offices located on Independence Drive and you can ask to see who the commissioners are; and while your there you can check out all the information you want about any fire department or ambulance company in the Town of Brookhaven. Let's just say you were interested in learning more about budgets of our volunteer orginizations, that's where you would find that information. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe you might have to contact the New York State Comptrollers office to find out more about fire districts and thier budgets. Anyway, just to give you a head start about the whole commissioner thing down at the Mastic Ambulance District, the commissioners are: Francis Knight, Michael Ryan, and Daniel Raia. Any other questions, I'm going to have to refer you to the Town of Brookhaven's office. Have a wonderful day..... :D

The information that this person gave you is not all correct. First off is the FD or EMS is in a Village, the Town of Brookhaven has nothing to do with them. Bellport Fd as Patchogue FD(when they were in with the Village) are under the control of their village hall.
