My civil rights are being violated by the Nassau and Suffolk police departments. I have tapes to prove it. Please read my open letter to the Attorney General.
There is a conspirator in the New York Attorney General's office who will not open an investigation of
the conspiracy i have told him about. Please comment on my open letter. Please help me get through to Spitzer.

Wow..what can one say about about this contest in the 3rd LD. Ciotti is tied to the Cairo/Skelos crowd and is nothing more than a place holder at the Legislative table. For a guy who has a CPA/JD, he really does not not come across as all that bright. One would think with his background that ideas would be flowing and that he would be the Republican point person to attack Suozzi. He just sits in the background and collects his check. The Reps use that other great thinker, Peter Schmidt to be their mouthpiece. DeAngelis is a well meaning person who seems to be light in the smarts department also. I do not believe that he would bring much to the legilative table, although with the re-disticting, do not count him out. Gee..I wonder how Ciotti got the Porche..ummmmm

Ciotti's problem is that he does nothing for the community. He doesn't stand up for people- he's an unknown for any real good things in the community and he was the chairman of the finance committee during the Tommy Gulotta years. Ciotti was the captain of the cash during the Tom G's watch!!! Need we say more?

Reasonably intelligent people know Ciotti was the man to protect us from Tommy G but did not...Reasonably intelligent people know this, therefore, in addition to posting on this board to educate others, work for D'ANGELIS, talk him up, make a donation, and in all support him. Larry D'Angelis may not be a CPA or a Lawyer, but THOSE ARE HIS GOOD QUALITIES. The man is highly motivated, very well meaning, has a sense of justice, right and wrong, and has NO GOP or OTHER BOSS to be beholden to. . . VOTE D'ANGELIS, SEND A MESSAGE.

Ciotti has the following to do:
get a campaign- he doesn't have one
show up- a first for him
stay for more than a picture with Murray
know what you're talking about-- another first
oh and lastly, get a haircut

rumor has it GOP sweatin the 3rd lD with ciotti. his campaign is sputtering and is in free-fall already. Rumor is sweeping that heavy weight GOPers would like John to step aside. No way of it happening with leaders having too much at stake. Johnny is in for a long election night.

it seems the leaking has begun. the race is slipping away for John. whats next- getting law work for his firm through surrogates?

The reason why Ciotti isn't already on the bench is that the GOP already has a Fiechter.

And, by the way = what is the name of that local Republican judge who struck down the County's Pesticide notification law a few years back.
Women voters just might like to put a face/name on the GOP's true anti-environmental policies.

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???

EVEN IF CIOTTI LOSES HE WILL NEVER BE OUT IN THE COLD. HE IS A "MADE MAN" IN THE NASSAU GOP, ONE WHO WILL ALWAYS BE TAKEN CARE OF. HE DOES NOT WANT TO BE A JUDGE; WAY TOO MUCH MONEY IN PRIVATE PRACTICE.

uh, oh
07-13-2003, 06:42 PM
DeANGELIS MAY VERY WELL UPSET CIOTTI.

THAT WOULD BE DEVASTATING TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN ON POST AVENUE AND CAUSE A REAL BLOW TO THE NASSAU GOP IN GENERAL. . .

AND THE REALLY SCARY THING IS THAT GOP COMMITTEEMEMBERS WILL VOTE FOR DeANGELIS AND NOT CIOTTI...."DON'T WORRY, JOHN, YOU CAN COUNT ON ME." - - - NOT

last posting is very accurate. DeAngelis shoots another missile at Ciotti in the Herald and scores a direct hit. DeAngelis is walking the district and John is in court... I smell a walkin Lawton Chiles race shaping up. By the way street rumors have all fire alarms at corona avenue going off...

Dear Republican Committee Member:

Now compare this to the way that vacancies in the Town of Hempstead are filled. Instead of Democratic elections, the party boss appoints those he favors. There is no campaign and there are no voters. Someone is appointed to a vacant public office in the largest township in America. Does this seem right to you? Do you favor this?

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Iraq, a nation with little history of Democratic government, is moving quickly to hold elections. Yet here in Town of Hempstead where you live, the law says voters must wait months for the opportunity to vote to fill a vacant public office. Iraqis are more likely to go to the polls before Hempstead voters do. Democracy Hempstead-style sure is outmoded, isn’t it?

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp It is unfortunate that Republican Chairman Joe Mondello and his friends in Party headquarters haven’t gotten President Bush’s message on this subject; who not long ago said that a new Iraqi government “will be chosen by the people, not imposed by outsiders” .

Instead, the Town of Hempstead now has three new officials who were imposed by an outsider. Isn’t it time they were chosen by the people?

Who are these newly selected and unelected public officials? Supervisor Kate Murray, daughter of one of Joe Mondello’s clubhouse associates, thanked him – not the people - for the opportunity to serve. Newly installed councilman Ed Ambrosino owes his allegiance to Vice-Chairman Joe Cairo – not to voters in his District. And Mark Bonilla, the new Town Clerk from Seaford, somehow lucked out -- he got Mondello’s nod of approval, though no one else’s.

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Compare the undemocratic appointments of these three individuals by a compliant Town Board to the popular definition of Republicanism, “the idea that government should be based wholly on the consent of the people”, and the contrast with the words of President Bush is not just striking, it’s embarrassing.

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp But one embarrassment shouldn’t stand alone. You can expect tickets from Mr. Mondello’s designee to arrive in your mailbox any day. The letter with them will seek financial contributions in support of these fine public officials and urge you to provide their campaigns for reelection with the resources needed to get their message out – whatever that is. The party want’s your money to support officials you had no role in choosing. Is that right!

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Republican democracy has been derailed in Hempstead by the arrogance of a few individuals. So arrogant are they in fact, that the Hempstead lineup on the ballot this fall – Supervisor and Town Clerk – consists of appointed officials! The last time this happened, three seats on the Town Board were lost. Are you ready to go through that again?

What can be done about it, short of risking family security and livelihoods? Fortunately, you are probably a better politician than they give you credit for and play the game better than they do. Here are a few suggestions:

#1. Tell the party big wigs that you approve of their actions 100%. Pat them on the back over and over and tell them how right they are. Assure them that they can count on you, even though they can’t.

#2. When they put a petition with the names of these appointees in your hands this June, circulate it like you always do, but don’t get quite as many signatures as last year. Go through the motions, and if they complain, promise to try harder next time.

#3. When you receive a fundraising letter, do what Joe Mondello does with many of his, toss it in the garbage can. Tell them you did not get one, but please send another – you can’t wait to keep the Chairman and his family living in the lap of luxury while you and yours struggle just to make ends meet.

#4. On “Saturation Day” this fall – when committeemen and women are expected to stuff their neighbors mailboxes full of junk mail, stuff it in your garbage can instead – right on the top, and give the sanitation employees a big laugh.

#5. The most effective action you can take is to vote! Go smiling into the polling place and greet the inspectors. Sign your name proudly on the registration rolls and go into the election booth. Now hang out there for a few minutes, clicking various levers up and down for anyone but these appointees.

&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Maybe you have your own idea; that’s great. Share it with others. But Mr. Mondello must go! The object is to win elections, and he’s not very good at it. When he took over the party held 87% of all local offices in Nassau County. Now, after almost two decades of Team Mondello the party barely has 50%. That’s some achievement in a county with a 3:2 Republican enrollment advantage.

Good Republicans at the grassroots are used to being ignored, but this disgraceful conduct has got to stop. Despite your objections they take it upon themselves to decide for you who serves in a public capacity – dispensing with democracy as an inconvenience. Enough already!

The Republican leadership must be changed. Its replacement must move quickly to act in consonance with the principles of the party as espoused by the leader of our party, the President of the United States, who said that leadership “chosen by the people, not imposed by outsiders” is the only legitimate government of the people. President Bush is confident that Democracy is right for the people of Iraq. Why aren’t local Republicans confident of the same thing when it comes to you?

Hey pat, hope all is well. As for appointments, isn't that what NYS law ONLY allows. Albany must change the law before the town can act differently. I know you want change now, but lobby the GOP in the Senate.

As for the individuals, the voters will have teh ultimate say.

You have suggested in other posts that you should be the next party chairman. But you post that all the committeemen should lay down there arms and support the dem's this year. Who does that benefit.

And since you work and wish for the GOP's demise, why should I want you as the next chairman?

I have known you for a number of years. Don't attach on personal levels, rather convince me.

the fact is Ciotti is in serious trouble. he came off bad a few months back at carlson school where suozzi rebuked him. he doesn't stand up for people and is served by a pathetic organization that can't get out of its way. this leads up to a disaster.

Get rid of Joe Mondello and cronies and you start to turn the party around.

Appointing people to public office.
Knocking volunteer firemen's petitions (and all others) out because of trivial technicalities.
Requiring more signatures for Town Board than a candidate for President needs to run in a statewide primary.
Blocking districts in Hempstead, but promoting them in N. Hempstead.
Executive leaders who do not reside in the community they serve.
Not advocating change to a campaign finance system that permits far larger contributions than one can make to a candidate for the U.S. Senate.
An open election of committeemen/women for the next party chairman.

What's wrong with this? You folks who keep loosing elections under Mondello (N. Hempstead, LB, GC, half of TOB and most judgeships now) you don't think anything is wrong.

Well then, keep him right where he is -- don't change a thing oh meek one.

For those of you who have not heard the news:

BETH A. ROSS, of Great Neck, is primarying the Democrats for County Court Judge. BETH is an active, well-known attorney who KNOWS EVERYONE AND EVERYONE KNOWS HER; she is going to give the "boys" a run for their money!! A JEWISH FEMALE ATTORNEY FROM THE NORTH SHORE (the ONLY one on the ballot) WILL DECIMATE HER MALE OPPONENTS - - COUNT ON A BIG WIN FOR BETH, IN THE PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTION, BETH A. ROSS WILL BE ONE OF YOUR NEXT NASSAU COUNTY COURT JUDGES!!

PHILIP S. MILONE, current Justice of the Village of Stewart Manor, Family Law/Matrimonial practitioner of 20+ years, with offices in Queens, is primarying the Democratic candidate for Nassau Family Court. Phil is active in his community (Fire Dept, youth football coach) and professionally (lectures, has tried hundreds of family law cases) and will give the Democratic candidate a good run -- when qualifications are compared, there will be NO CONTEST; PHIL will then go on to finish off the Republican and be your next Nassau County Family Court Judge.

THE LANDSCAPE OF NASSAU COUNTY POLITICS IS CHANGING AND IF THERE ARE REAL REFORMERS OUT THERE, IT IS ABOUT TIME THEY TOOK SOME ACTION INSTEAD OF JUST FLAPPIN' THEIR GUMS!!!!

NO BALLZ, NO GLORY!!!

Deangelis barnstorms North Valley Stream and finds disgruntled voters-- Ciotti is seen in new part of district desperately trying to woo voters. Ambrosino is seen as being no help to 3rd LD Legislator. A ticket with no major draw. Wait a minute Charlie O'Shea will help johnny boy.

PHILIP S. MILONE, matrimonial/family law trial attorney for 20+ years, Village Justice of Stewart Manor, is a Democratic candidate for Nassau County Family Court Judge. He is running against the party designee in the primary. MILONE lectures and writes on Custody Law, is active in the Stewart Manor Fire Department, was a Coach and Director of the Elmont Cardinals Youth Football League, was Knighted by the Pope and is very well respected in his community and within the legal profession.
