Why has Ed hired Pat Foye??

This guy is giving bad advise to Eddie. Foye is a dope and has 0 political skills.

His M.O. is to quit and leave behind a mess.

Somebody needs to tell Ed to listen to the People in his campaign staff who helped him win. These individuals actually care for Ed.

Think about it Eddie.

I'd like an answer please? Tons of republicans LOOKING OUT for this administration. Why is there a democrat interfering in things? HIRED by this adinstration and being permitted to drive a wedge in the party faithful? Please someone explain whats going on? Nothing stays in the closet forever. Nothing.

Why Foye, because Eddie The Mango does what Joe Mondello tells him to do, and one of the nnnnn directions he issued was to hire this member of his Chairmen's Club!

That's why.

It's a revision of the Tommy of Tammany Hall show, with a new star and cast of characters!

Why Foye, because [Chairman Mondello asked the County Executive to hire Foye].

Messrs. Foye and Mangano were both of counsel to the same law firm. To aid Mangano, Foye got his friend George Marlin, the archfoe of Chairman Mondello, to write a letter to members of the Conservative Party urging them to support Mangano. The County Executive attributes that and other sage Foye doings as critical to his stunning victory.

Post nnnnnn is responsible for many of the Nassau GOP's woes, but not for Patrick J. Foye, Esq.

What's the problem? .. its been 6 months ... Foye will be off to LIPA soon or somewhere else in the State ....

Then Mondello needs to be educated - he's lost his pulse. nnnnn of all, the conservatives did NOT support Mangano - they ran their own man - Hansen AGAINST Mangano - expecting to help Suozzi. Second of all, it was Donovan & McClane who crossed over conservative lines to support Mangano & run their OWN team having nothing to do with any cheap paper Foye got. Third of all, it was a GRASSROOTS campaining Mangano ran right from the start WITHOUT the help of Mondello or his party leaders UNTIL LATE in the election when they realized Mangano actually had a chance BECAUSE of the INDEPENDENT CAMPAIGNERS running themselves ragged to help him. Fourth of all, rumor has it that all the frustrations & anger coming from the party faithful due to the fact that so many of the people appointed to jobs in the last 8 years and promoted to higher salaried, higher level jobs are STILL freaking working there is due to FOYE creating the log-jam & supporting the WRONG people to stay in jobs AGAINST the part faithful, the hardworking campaigners & the taxpayers who might well be saddled with retirement and health benefits for these people & their families LONG after they are gone. Mondello scapegoated Gulotta, ran a lackluster Nassau County campaign TWICE thereafter - then got thrown back from the State just in time to get the credit for Mangano's victory. Maybe its time he passed the reigns to the young republicans now because the old farts just can't make it work.

Mr. D had no guts to stand up to Roger until after the election. The conservatives who helped Eddie are known to Eddie regardless of what is posted here.

Bumpy road for Nassau assessment fix

55 m ago By William Murphy

The point man for assessment reform in Nassau County, Deputy County Executive Patrick Foye, was not at the top of his reputed game when he appeared before the Nassau County Legislature on Monday to urge passage of the nnnnn bill on the issue.

For starters, the private citizens on his hand-picked Assessment Review Team showed up to testify against the bill, and to criticize him for excluding them from any meaningful role in assessment reform.

Veteran government insiders like Foye are not supposed to lose control of their own process, particularly when it's the top priority of his boss, CE Edward Mangano.

But Foye, a former state economic development official, also claimed ignorance on much of what was happening with enabling legislation in Albany. He said there was a draft of state legislation, prompting the presiding officer of the legislature, Legis. Peter Schmitt (R-nnnnnnnnnn) to ask to see the state bill.

Schmitt: “Can you forward a copy to us?

Foye: Yes sir.

Schmitt: Thank you.

(long pause — voice off microphone)

Schmitt: Good question. Who was it sent to?

Foye: It’s being considered internally, county attorney, etc.

Schmitt: In Albany, Who’s got it in Albany?

Foye: “Probably staff and various legislative offices.”

(long pause)

Schmitt: Which ones?

Foye: I’ll get back to you.

Schmitt: You don’t know?

Foye: I don’t have it with me.

Schmitt: Who would have sent it up if you didn’t send it up?

Foye: County lobbyist.

Schmitt: County lobbyist. OK

(pause)

Schmitt: Who’s the county lobbyist?

Foye: Aaah.

Schmitt: Bishop?

Foye: Peter Bishop. Yes sir.”

How can Mangano keep this guy after this?

He looked like he totally dropped the ball on Mangano's biggest issue.

Does he even care what this makes Mangano look like?

Is he running interference for the holdover Suozzi hacks? and is that why the transition has been compromised?

and is that why the transition has been compromised?

In answering your nnnnn question, yes. Ask Ted Jankowski.
The second question assumes that there actually has been a meaningful transition. Assuming arguendo, yes.

If Foye had stuck to and followed through on assessment rather than sticking his ignorant nose into every facet of county governance, the county might seem a lot more organized.

Check the state website, where's your legislation, Pat?

Reputed game - seems alot of Suozzi era holdovers have managed to fool the Mangano administratives into letting them remain based on their "reputed" games. Problem with reputations - good or bad - they're almost never right.

Foye sticks his nose into every facet of county gov't instead of doing his job.

Ed Mangano has done nothing to get rid of the dem holdovers. When will he act?????

Ed, your doing nothing for the people who helped you and everything for those who worked against you.

Forget the legislature next year. In November Mangano is gonna cause the lost of the State jobs & Congress. The Repubs that got screwed when his administration opted to leave the Dems in jobs have 6 months of debt piled up already. None of them want to walk petitions or do anything else for a party that doesn't have their back.

Let Mangano get the dems to walk his petitions. He is really a light weight. His administration is worse the Mickey Mouse. Actually getting close to the way fat Joe runs things.

Is that what is important? Getting people to walk his petitions? No wonder this county is screwed up. What about hiring people to WORK? That's what we, the taxpayers, WANT. PEOPLE TO WORK, NOT TO ACT AS FLUNKIES

I'll tell you one thing. When my leader calls with the stupid petitions, I'm gonna have a sore ankle that weekend. Let the people with the jobs do it is right.

Take the fight to the polls. Yes them to death - then do what they did back in 2001 to show them new leadership is wanted. Vote for the Democrats.

Grassroots campaigners, not the party, put Mangano in office. Some campaigners might also have been party soldiers, but they were acting as volunteers - not taking orders from the party.

It all works in reverse too though.

Empire? He's forming a fraternity house - that's what he's doing. All boys & games and leaving the Suozzi people scattered around to piss off the republicans he didn't hire because they're too smart to go for the antics - people like Foye who knew Mangano was being advised by jack asses in a case he couldn't possibly win and that the public didn't want to pay for. Foye at least manned up and got himself out of there. The people who got screwed out of jobs are actually thankful - they can easily disassociate themselves from the campaign now and slowly moved over to the left.
