Is this part of some grand plan to swoop in late and overwhelm the opposition? Shouldn't the Committee pick their horse soon?

Who will beat McCarthey?

Kenneth Heino is a Conservative Democrat.

Heino is a registered Conservative with close ties to the West End Republicans, and he does have some Democratic friends, but he is no Democrat. Indeed, the man's email address is RepubliKen! Kenny may be many things, but he aint no Democrat. All you're trying to do is hurt the guy who's an appointee in a Republican Administration. And that just sucks.

They will go with Coffey. Total outsider, non-politician, successful - non Wall Street - career.

if westbury doesn't go with the rumored insider, then they'll support Zinno. let Mahoney and Scatturo primary and divide the nutjob vote in any case. We control the process and will get our guy on the ballot in November. and don't waste your time with the Conservatives. Thats a done deal already.

was it the guy who had a Confederate Battle Flag on his desk? Or the guy who thinks that AIPAC runs the world through the Bildenberg Group? Or the guy who thinks Tom Suozzi is a sexy lady?

Kenneth Heino is a Conservative Democrat.

Kenny was actually a Republican for many years before deserting them to take a job at Consumer Affairs under then-Commissioner Roger Bogsted. Now that Bogsted is no longer employed by the County, Heino has smartly sucked up to his boss (Madelyn Farley) pleading his case that the office cannot run without him. While Kenny has positioned himself nicely, there is one problem on the horizon. Farley cannot be made the permanent commissioner due to a lack of a four year college degree. So when the CE chooses a permanent replacement, Heino will no longer have the ear of the person in charge. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out from there. Stay tuned.
