Since we are on a roll here

Why does a Chief of Floral Park live in West Babylon?

Keeping your parents address on file with the FD and hanging out over there a few hrs here and there isn't very resourceful to the Village.

Now that's a lot of wasted gas and maintenance on a vehicle by the taxpayers of the VIllage of Floral Park.

Where is West Babylon????

One good guess is it might very well be WEST of Babylon.

If you go north of Babylon (which is EAST of WEST Babylon), they call it NORTH Babylon. Can you imagine that??

But then they call EAST Babylon WEST Islip, and it probably fucks up your line of thinking.

I won't even get into East Rockaway. But I'll give you 1 guess on where North Merrick might be. And 2 more shots at North Massapequa and North Bellmore. And a bonus on East Massapequa and South Farmingdale.

C'mon. Try it.

Hmmmmmm, maybe you better not.

The Rockaway Peninsula, also known as The Rockaways, is the name of a peninsula of Long Island, most of which is located within the borough of Queens in New York City. A popular summer resort area since the 1830s, Rockaway — or, as it is informally known, "The Rockaways" — has become a mixture of lower, middle, and upper-class neighborhoods. The peninsula's main communities are Belle Harbor and Far Rockaway. Other important neighborhoods on the peninsula include Arverne, Neponsit, Rockaway Beach, Rockaway Park, Breezy Point and Edgemere. Broad Channel, located on its own island in Jamaica Bay between the peninsula and the mainland of Queens, is generally considered to be psychographically part of the Rockaways. On August 14, 2008, however, a drastic rezoning plan was approved by the New York City Council for five communities on the peninsula covering 280 blocks. The communities that were included are Rockaway Park, Rockaway Beach, Somerville, Edgemere, and Far Rockaway. Far Rockaway is a neighborhood on the Rockaway Peninsula in the New York City borough of Queens in the United States. It is the easternmost section of the Rockaways. The neighborhood starts at the Nassau County line and extends west to Beach 32nd Street. The neighborhood is named after the Rockaway (also known as Rechaweygh, Rechquaakie) Indians who once inhabited Long Island, in whose language the name meant "place of our people".

East Rockaway was originally named Near Rockaway, the village began as a shipping and trading center for the south shore of Long Island. The village's location was desirable for ships because of its deep channels inland.

come on now

Yea, it's a shame the town gets dark earlier. Even with Daylight Savings Time.
