Hey Ciampoli - enough is enough. Do what we elected your boss to do and clean house. This isn't Albany. This is Nassau County & we elected a new administration because we wanted to get rid of the old appointments. Do it.
What a Disgrace!

It appears that Ciampoli is getting beaten like a drum in a game of human chess against the Lorna Goodman proteges. That's sort of like losing a game of Trivial Pursuit to Corky Thatcher!

Does anyone know if Ciampoli was actually a Mangano pick or a Mondello recruit?
The others sent by Executive Leaders have been ignored by Ciampoli and Mangano so I'm wondering who suggested Ciampoli.

It's not going to happen. Four years from now Mangano will be gone but they'll still be around. That you can sure of.
Mondello Time

its time for Mondello to get the patronage system going.
Ciampoli needs a hint

Ciampoli became County Attorney ONLY because the Republicans in the legislature supported him on a party line vote. It is disgraceful that he continues to be advised by an exclusively holdover office from the prior Democratic Administration, espcially when considering the salaries drawn by attorneys in managerial positions, attorneys who perform no line function whatsoever.
Patience is growing thin. Ciampoli was a substantial "lift" for the the Republicans in the legislature, as well as for the Mangano Administration, who again supported him on a party line vote and despite negative press stories. Ciampoli must recognize that as a very partisan election lawyer his continued "sleeping with the enemy" only gives Democrats more opportunities and access to privileged and predecisional information which could potentially be used against the current admistration and legislative majority.

At least Hansen went on the record and demonstrated his tacit support for his bosses (Suozzi and Bogsted) by running for public office. He didn't hide behind some other politician, and however bizarre his campaign may have been, it was a public statement in which he took risk. Hansen lost big time, and bore the brunt of the risks. It's not like he is someone who cut his deals with Tom Suozzi and Lorna Goodman, only to show up at Republican clubs and fundraisers after Mr. Suozzi conceded.
Unlike the current Suozzi holdovers, Hansen went out with dignity, and didn't try to sue to keep his job, and did not try to convince the incoming administration that he is "a key employee," no matter how pathetic that representation may be.
Hansen took a bullet for the thankless Goodman and Suozzi loyalists who still occupy that office. Hopefully, Hansen will strive to do what is best for his family, and avoid the political life which ultimately proved to be so damaging to him long term.
Hansen never hurt anyone governmentally, and despite the repugnant political ethics demonstrated through his campaign, had intentions which he he believed were benign.
Hansen's campaign was vain, self deluded, vapid, morally bankrupt, and corrupt, but his motivations appeared benign in that he felt he was a key part in vindicating the vision of his boss and party chief. Hansen was much like an Islamo-Fascist suicide bomber with visions of seventy two virgins in paradise, who found out too late that the promise was a sham.

The promise was a judgeship, quite a stretch considering his qualifications. I would say he was more like a Lemming following the leader over a cliff.
Time to move on

Just wait until I start getting the phone calls & letters to lend support to the GOP. I'll refer them to Ciampoli's holdovers. Let's see how much help they give the republicans running in November. I'm done.

They are lying, manipulative bastards who were hired for jobs they had no experience for & would never have gotten but for their connections. At 6 figure plus salaries, they've each earned nearly a million dollars a piece plus retroactive vacation and longevity days during the Suozzi days. If the new administration feels sorry for them or is fooled by their shiny exterior, they are idiots we shouldn't have put in office in the first place.

The definition of "patronage?" See above. And also, "idiots."

Ciampoli's been the county attorney almost a year & 1/2 already so how come he hasn't even updated the county attorney website? Its still showing the report from Lorna Goodman's administration. Hasn't his office achieved anything they can bullshit into a report - or is he afraid that he'd have to show how many holdovers are still running things over there? Oh I know - its that he's too busy trying to redistribute the voting districts -

They finally booted Alan the chinless wonder Licht from DSS. Any word on what they did with him? Terminate? Transfer? BOE where all Suozzi hacks go to play with Bunny Garone? No loss to DSS seeing he did little if anything that didn't benefit himself.

The name is Hansen and he has never worked a day in his life. He prizes his intellect way too much to use it.
