View Full Version : Dr. Alicandro's Replacement, Part II

Yesterday a serious question was posed concerning Dr. Alicandro's replacement. This post has mysteriously disappeared from the site! What's up? Isn't this a topic we should be allowed to discuss?
To recap, the choice seems to have narrowed to one of two Doctors "G." What are the pros and cons for these candidates? Shouldn't the EMS community in Suffolk have some input relative to the selection process?

Dr. Goodman is much more active in the ems community, so as far as I am concerned he would make a better canidate. He knows the poeple and he has plenty of recent ER and Field experience
If you call what he does at Brookhaven experience , we are going to be in a lot of trouble.

It looks as if Dr. Goodman failed to win the prize and that the other Dr. "G." will get the Medical Director slot. It probably can't be soon enough as Dr. Alicandro is burned out by the whole REMSCO fiasco and the petty arguments coupled with personal attacks that had nothing to do with the issues. It's a shame to see Dr. Alicandro leave as she truly cared about the patients; unfortunately she was too politically naive to survive in the agenda driven world dominated by REMSCO chairman Brenner. Dr. Alicandro will only be remembered as casulty in Brenner's drive for self-advancement.

it will be a kissass of levy like the police chief
what's the final decision? Greenberg? Goodman? Someone else? Who out there can do the job the best?
When's the take over date?

Now both Dr. Greenberg and Dr. Goodman our out of the running for the Medical Directors slot. It looks as if Dr. Alicandro will be there until a full time replacement can be found (which may be a long time). Perhaps with a new, although unwanted, lease on life Dr. Alicandro will finally realize how she has been used by Brenner and the rest of his REMSCO Rangers and will actually listen to the many ideas proposed by the good providers in Suffolk County instead of swallowing Brenner's attempt at empire building with him in charge.

No ER physician in their right mind would take that job for the pay they are offering, especially with all of the petty crap they have to deal with.
