How many troopers are assigned to Long Island (Troop L)?

Not too many. From what I've heard on the midnights there might be 2 or 3 troopers for all of Suffolk County.

Thought it was that much for all of Long Island.
Either way it isnt much, at all.

Just in Suffolk they have Farmingdale, Brentwood and Flanders Troop stations. I'm going to guess that they have at least one per station on duty on the mids. I have heard that they double up on the mids for officer safety at least on the West End of the county on the parkways. I could be wrong though.

I'm pretty sure that the double cars on the midnight tour is contractual and thereby statewide.
