1010 WINS reported that ToH Supervisor Kate Murphy [sic] was quoted as saying that ToH was hardest hit by power outages with 52,000 homes out. She was quoted as saying that the number was more than the outages in all the other towns on Long Island combined.

Kevin Law of LIPA said that almost 250,000 homes were without power during the height of the storm.

When will politicians stop lying to justify high taxes and exorbitant perques?

Outage math is tricky. There are several oft-confused sets of numbers. To wit: one category calculates total persons affected, another uses customer accounts affected and a third uses each incident. Who is the credible source? Does the TOH have a tree expert on the payroll? Oh, I know. The expert was hired because of a long, storied career in leaf raking and a long history of membership in Nassau County Republican clubs.

Why is it that Ms. Murray is NEVER available for interviews when any of a myriad of scandals such as Norman's $43/hour re-hiring, Zafonte's arrest, or that little cemetery boo-boo is reported? Her next tough live interview will be her first.
