The NCPD Commissioner make $154,000+ (per Newsday today).

Why such a hugh difference? They both lead almost identical departments (size, duties, etc). Why does SCPD's commissioner make about 40,000 per year less than his nassau counterpart?

B/c Levy makes all the decisions for his P/C (Dormer). The only reason Dormer was able to take this job at a pay cut from the previous commish is b/c he (Dormer) would be making less decisions. Lets face it, Levy is running the dept...
