I think running for Congress when you've ignored the FEC for six years and owe them a huge fine is a big problem. If Mayor Garner were stellar otherwise, I'd consider overlooking this, but let's face it -- nice guy that he is -- he's really not up to the job. No ideas. Lost his last three elections. Etc. No thanks.

Non-issue you say? Why? Are you a Garner supporter? Is there anything Garner could do that would steer you away from him?

The Garners and Manganos and Schmitts of the world are not running for dog catcher. They set policies and enact laws and levy taxes on the rest of us.

1. Garner has ignored the FEC for years.
2. Mangano hired a felon/scam artist, not to mention his own assessment.
3. Schmitt...where do you start? DWI's,47% raise? He's pulled over blotto and asks the cop "Do you know who I am"? My answer would have been "yeah, you're a collar".

Is this the best we can do in this society? If so, we are doomed.

My apology to the poster who raised the intial issue about Garner and the FEC... You are correct....Garner's lack of response to the FEC is indicative of his commmitment to detail... his response or non-response is a reflection of his commitment detail, especially, to something personnal... then he is not commited to truly serving 4 CD constitutients.....he should spare us the angst and quit NOW!!!!!!!
