This month means this month. Or maybe next month, or the month we were just in, but not technically last month. Which "month"? I dont know.

think of it this way, we'll be back at the contract table in 9 months...or less.
people will barely have forgotten our contract and it will be an issue again.
not good for the county exec

When the correction officers settled, their retro was over $25,000 each. My retro is already approaching 20K and is growing everyday. I can wait.

Corrections retro was significant because we were without a contract for over 5 years. We are still 2 years and 2 months behind again. Not that we will ever get what PD gets but I believe we are waiting to see how you guys do before we go to the county with hard numbers.

Hey corrections, I tip my hat to you. I saw your new class at the academy in Brentwood last month. They're a sharp looking group and I think they will do well.

I'm a C/O and that comment gave me a good laugh. This is what a two year wait provided? Heard some of them get to the academy in an ambulette.

Good luck is right. You are going to need it. We will see how that support of the anti-union conservative party pays off. You guys made your bed with Walsh, now you get to lay in it.

Do the math 2.3 years salary, 1st at 3.5%, 2nd at 7%, third at 10.5%
add it up

where are these contracts listed for public consumption? Where is the PERB court case info? I can't find anything and I'd rather not write to the CE or the PBA for their "take." I just want to read it for myself.

Ask your teacher to help you. This information isn't reading material for libraries or critics. Hire an attorney FOIL, and if the court says you have grounds, they'll let you see it. In the mean time looks like you're out-of-luck.

Where is the PERB court case info? .

the perb case is ongoing. do you real expect them to make available to anyone what is currently happening before the case is settled?

What is top pay going up to at the end of this short contract and how bad did you sell out the new people? What does the starting salary drop too

Okay troll, her are the numbers: Top pay goes to $247,000.00 per year. Starting salary for new people is minimum wage with cost of living increases for the first 10 years! Bottom line is, what does it matter to you. Stevie agreed to 2 three year contracts and the PBA, SDA, and SOA will live with the arbitrators decision!

ok...Ive heard rumors of the starting pay being reduced for new guys. But was there anything on the table as far as a "hiring plan" during this new contract?

I am familiar with union contracts, being union myself. I know that that the PBA wouldnt agree to lower the starting pay for new guys unless there was something given in return.

This all seems like political posturing for Levy. Pressure is being put on him and now he is going to come out and say I got the starting salary lowered and now we can hire the 200 with xx amount savings. Taxpayers will love him even more, and he can get this whole battle with the SCPD behind him and concentrate on his run for Guv. Does anybody agree?

New hires will probably still start out at 40-50k, get another pay raise upon graduation and with holiday and Vacation pay, a new hire will probably still make 60k first year and 85k second year. Not too bad, especial when you know you're GUARENTEED to make at least 150k 4 years later!

No one has exact numbers to the new contract that's about to be signed? Just base salaries for starting and top pay

I just heard the numbers from my second cousin's mother-in law's landscapers daughters boyfriend who's neighbors uncle has a god-daughter who is a clerk/typist whose brother is a janitor at the precinct.

here they are: 7.95%,7.95%,13.88%. longevity is bumped up to $5k a year, there is a $29,000 bonus for each cop(for being so patient), and get this... If you register a name at the report, the PBA will reimburse the cost of your internet service every year.

I'm a female. Do I get free flying lessons and become a helicopter pilot? If not that's discrimination.

All you have to do Is sleep around to get what you want. When that doesnt work file a sexual harrassment lawsuit.....like everyother female on this job.

I heard just about the same thing from the Pct. Janitor today. The only thing that's different, is that he said SCAT pay will be modified by multiplying the original amount by 3 not to exceed 5 times annual salary. So it will be capped at 1 million. Oh well, that's what happens with give-backs.
