Goes to show that Republican voters are idiots and Democratic voters are idiots too. Add in everyone else. Just like the run-up to our economic meltdown, everyone believes what they hear and read and they don't THINK. They don't think of consequences and react emotionally. We're doomed until the electorate grows up and takes responsibility for who is put in office and how they act.

Through the whole campaign he kept repeating 'i have a plan' for the county's financial issues but never said what it was. Now we know why. Great 'plan' - two people doing the same job so we can pay DOUBLE the salary.

For all you who spent 8 years beating up Suozzi for hiring hacks and out of towners, I can only laugh at the reactions to Mangano appointments - particularly Carnell Foskey as Parks Commissioner and John Ciampoli as County Attorney.

And for those of you who beat up Suozzi for spending the County dry with his appointments, explain to me how Ed "I'll reduce the cost of government" Mangano will balance the budget with a $20 million deficit created by the fuel tax repeal AND, paying his DPW Commissioner the same money as her predecessor who Mangano kept as Deputy Commissioner at the SAME SALARY? And, while you're at it, how will he cover the hole created by paying Foskey the SAME money as Lopez, while paying the 'demoted' Commissioner the SAME SALARY?

Good Job, Ed....Great Job, Robbie....keep this up and the DEMS will win it all back between the 2011 Legislative elections and the 2013 County wide elections.
