I'll suggest it again. This string of rambling, inarticulate and, frankly, foolish screeds has no place in this topic heading. Put it in national issues, or better yet, set up a new heading, called X-tra Files, and park 'em there.

Reading some of writeon9's topics I have to say, why doesn't anyone challenge their points of view?
So it does seem that the truth has got your tongues.
Well done writeon9 keep up the good work.

All right, Write On, and "Perfect", let's talk about the merits. Let's put aside the slogans, the hysteria and the name calling, and answer one question, to start. Is the world a better place, or a worse one, with Saddam Hussein no longer in control in Iraq?
Then a second...Will the Iraqi people ultimately be better off without him? And a follow-up--Did the Iraqi people deserve to be governed by one such as he, and his sons? Was it permissible for him to maintain a kleptocracy? Putting aside whether the sanctions were just or not (and I happen to believe that they were not) it is becoming evident that he, and his fellow kleptocrats, had more than enough personal resources to assuage much of the suffering of the Iraqi people?
Now a third--if it is racism to treat other ethnic groups differently, or to assume that they are entitled to less solely because they are different from us, would it not be racist to allow the people of Iraq to be butchered and oppressed by Saddam Hussein and his thugs?
A fourth question--just who is responsible for the 5 and 10 year old corpses that are being dug up in unmarked graves all over Iraq? If it was Saddam Hussein, then was it not justice for someone to force him to stop the murders?
Now a fifth--who should speak for the literally millions of victims of his wars of conquest, against Iran and Kuwait, not to mention the Kurds? How was justice to be obtained for them?
Now a sixth and final question, for now--for all of your blathering about "fascism" do you contend that it was wise, fair, just or moral for the United States, Britain and France to do nothing as Adolf Hitler rose to power? Do you think it was just, or moral, for the West to do nothing while genocidal slaughter took place in Rwanda and Burundi? If you think the answers to these last questions is "yes" then you are beneath contempt. If you think it is "no" then how do those people differ from the Iraqis? And what makes them any less deserving of deliverance from a genocidal tyrant?

Those are some very good questions. However, I doubt you'll get any intelligent answers from either of the two.
