Hi.

We've owned a single family home in the Town of Hempstead since 1991. We never filed a tax grievance, but since I retired two year ago the school and general taxes are getting to be too much for us.

Fred Perry is the name that frequently arises when the topic of tax grievances comes up. Before hiring a tax grievance specialist we were hoping to get some feedback on which specialists are on the up-and-up and which one(s) we should avoid.

You're assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Paul Thomas.

Perry is one of the more prominent lawyers making money from the current assessment system. He appears from his mailings and newspaper coverage to be an honest, forthright critic of the system. I would sign up with him.

Remember that the current assessment roll will take two years to become part of the tax roll and it will take another year before you may see your share of any refund.

Mangano has pledged to fix this phony system.

The only interest the county has it over/under assessment is to pay political lawyer crony firms for rebates on the really big commercial property rebates. This system has cost we tax payers a billion dollars in debt and $100 million in debt payments this year. This is major bonding/political insider fraud similar to the bonding sales that brought down our financial system. Obama and the Feds have been comatose for the last year on this issue. Do I smell godfather with MBA's behind this? Something like that.

This scam was devised to return $$$$ to those power players that stuck around the county. Most would leave if not for the financial incentives

Anyone have a list of site of the big power knockers who have been benefitting from this scam?

Schlessinger would be on it, who else?

Why was Suozzi part of this? Was he that dumb?
