Dormer's recent reply letter to Jeff Frayler was filled with "inaccuracies" to say the least. He says there are 2,000 less people now in the 2nd pct area. He obviously did not take into consideration all the illegal immigrants which is easily into the thousands. And many are not the hard working landscape specialist type. The Huntington Station area has the unwanted distinction of being the main stronghold of the MS-13 gangs as well as other violent street gangs. Adding the extra cars to the 2400-0200 was a good thing but at what cost? You cannot predict when it will hit the fan. You can not let statistical data be the sole determining factor to deployment of the troops. Who would have guessed that at 8am on a Tuesday in Sept. that planes would be flown into the World Trade Center and Pentagon Building ? He says crime is down and that is true. But why ? Because you had sufficient Officers on Patrol 24/7. Taking away Officers cannot have a positive effect on enforcement. It is impossible ! Common sense and everything we have learned from day one as Police Officers tells us otherwise. As a "former" Police Officer  , Dormer must surely know what omnipresence is . Lets say the average PO on midnights makes 2-3 DWI arrests / year . Multiply this number by 5 cars . 15 Drunks per year , per pct still on the roads. That's not even taking into account of how many DWI's will not be deterred from driving by the frequent driving by of the local sector car at the local watering holes. Less cops visible on the streets means more opportunity for "nefarious" deeds to be committed. M.A.D.D. should be up in arms . Dormer has made it clear he wants to "end the carnage" on Suffolk's roadways. Doing away with S.I.T.E. and cutting back PO's on the midnight shift is sure to help! To properly man and equip our department all you would have to do is raise the County taxes for the Police department maybe 10-15% which would mean a whopping $100-$200 per year for the average taxpayer(or less ). But that won't happen because Levy like all politicians makes idiotic promises to hold the line on taxes. My School taxes go up an avearge of 2-$300 every year. Average taxpayer easily pays $4,000 or more per year for School taxes , and only about $500 per year for Police. Who's breaking the back of taxpayers ? Do the right thing and man all the cars. It is more than just an Officer safety issue.

Take the total time to create your part. Say you have a part that takes 4 operations in a cell to build and you have a takt time of 1minute.

If the cycle time of A=1.0, B=2.0, C=.5, & D=.5 then your total amount of labor to build is 4.0 minutes. Take the 4.0 / 1.0 and you get total number of operators = 4.

Make sure though if you put your allowances into your takt time for breaks/lunches then your total time is free from any allowances.

Thank you Mr. Levy/Dormer for making my career as a criminal easier. During my time in the joint I studied statistics on taxpayer money. I now can figure out my statistical chances of getting caught. I now know that my chances of getting caught are getting slimmer and slimmer. Even if I do get caught by one cop, I can probably elude capture since statistically speaking that one cop isn't going to get backup for an increasing amount of time thanks to Levy/Dormer. My chances of overpowering and escaping from one cop are so much greater now (especially after weightlifting in prison) by the way I really appreciate all of the 120#women and 5'4" males you have hired. I am now requesting my disability insurance carrier reduce my rates since I am now less likely to be detected and incapacitated while performing my job duties as a career criminal. Even when I am off duty and taking a night off from actively committing burglaries, robberies, larcenies and an opportunistic rape or two I can really kick back and enjoy myself since my chances of getting caught while driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol is going down every day. As for you cops, quit whining. Backup goes down, violent encounters go up, your line of duty tax free injury leave goes way up and when you aren't injured and are at work overtime abounds to cover the shifts of your other injured co-workers. The situation is a win, win for us professionals on opposite sides of the crime fence. Lastly, Thank you again Mr. Levy/Dormer

Anybody read the garbage Dormer said to Wilmont? Wilmont can be excused, sort of, he's not a police officer. But did Dormer really believe the crap he said. Either he is living in fantasy land or he is incompetent. I thought Kerry was "unfit for command!!"

Think about it an anon call at 0300 of a burg at the south/ east end of the pct could take all the cars out leaving the north or north west area of the pct open

Dormer is a tool. I hope no one actually gets hurt because of this, Police or otherwise. My worst fear is a call with a child hurt ,family waiting for the police/ ambulance which takes 10+ minutes to get there.

exactly ! There is no Crystal ball to forsee when it is going to hit the fan . "Be prepared" should be the Police motto too ! The less cars on the road the less prepared we are for real emergencies.
