hey, whats up with the bys troopers? i RAREly see them on the SSPKWY (or any pkwy for that manner)road patrolling and we have all these idiot drivers who do like 90 and cut in and out whats up with that... what do these guys do? sit around and do nothing? at least ya see some SCPD out the patrolling

there are 2-3 troopers on L.I. at anytime,tops

I see a lot of SCPD car also. They're usually parked behind firehouses... sometimes for several hours. LACK OF SUPERVISION MAKE YOU BRAVE!!!!

Funny I see more cops at stonybrook hospital committing the good people of suffolk county, than anywhere else.

If you knew ANYTHING about SCPD, then you'd know that the cars "parked at firehouses for hours" are cars assigned to the midnight tours, only used from 9pm to 7am, and when they're being used, the other car gets parked for "hours" at the same firehouses. So it may seem to the ignorant eye that the police are just lounging in the FD's all day, when they're actually not, its just that the car is not being used at the time. Yes, cops do go into firehouses, to eat, to use the bathroom, etc. Some people who post here just love to bash cops, and have probably been on the receiving end of more than a few summonses or arrests !!

Here,s a solution, next time you have too relieve yourself, piss on the lawns of our liberal democratic friends who just love too hate the police of this county. They are so short sighted, but yet so blind. Be safe brother!!!

I don't hate you. I just don't trust you. And I certainly don't feel safe here anymore. If your gonna disrespect the taxpayers then you expect to be respected? You have a few bad apples who brutally change the lives of those who once trusted, respected and supported you. (And maybe coulda/woulda have loved few :lol: ) If thats not bad enough you all support these bullies. Get rid of the bad apples and maybe we can regain our lost faith and even feel safe in our homes. Isn't that your job?

No. My job is to make it home to my family every night. Your concerns dont really matter much, my families does. We by the nature of our jobs, trust no one. Notice the remarks made here, the first was the firehouse thing. Maybe 5 years ago, a SCPD officer could clear his meal, and enjoy a hour off the streets, but the volume of calls nowadays prevents that. Not that I'm complaining.

You wont be safe in your homes when there are not enough cops on the street. The idea is to have more cops than calls this way, someone, at least one of us is driving patrol checking the neighborhood.

I wasn't safe in my home, and there were plenty of "cops". They chose to send a criminal, the most tactless, pitiful person I'd ever met. Who changed my views on life drastically. Bottom line is nobody is really safe. Nobody. Shit happens no matter where you are, in the safest of places. Even in better enighborhoods because if its not a gang member its a cop with a gang mentality. God help us all if you consider us being safe with thugs like you patrolling our streets.

By the way, any NYS Trooper I've met, on the highway....professionally or socially....nice guys, behaved like gentleman. I'd love to see more Troopers on the roads and it would be a miracle if they took over policing in our neighborhoods.
