View Full Version : Mangano's Axe: Please Report Names Here

The Mangano Report
01-04-2010, 11:35 PM
1. These 160 firings were only the first wave. In fact, there weren't even 160 as at least one Suozzi appointee was granted a stay of execution after being told that they were going to be fired. This individual thinks that they are out of the woods, but it is only just a matter of time.

Do you know who this individual is? Please respond to this thread.

2. Do the math: $30M deficit with no new taxes and a no layoff agreement with CSEA. Unless mangano has the courage to let NIFA break contracts, the handwriting is on the wall for all Suozzi appointees and those hired into union jobs in december. You can be let go for any reason during probation.

Please post the names and departments where these shanigans occurred to this thread.

Two men were moved and promoted to assistant directors at TPVA. And they both got salary increases with the title. No names but one is the opposite of poor.

What do you mean dave is ookay. Taxpayers care if Dave is needed and why there are two of them to assist. Four clerks for the price of two overpaid hacks would be better for any place of employment. THis other guy probably doesn't know anything about TPVA.

Several Suozzi appointees have been retained by Mangao - Jankowski in Assessment; O'Neill in OMB; and Goldson in HR, to name a few.

Other Suozzi appointees, when 'fired' by Mangano, reverted back to their last permanent Civil Service title - possibly causing bump and retreat which could result in the last person hired to be dismissed.

However, the bulk of the Suozzi appointees are out - many now looking for work.

Was ONeill a political hire? He's one of the few that was kept but he's only been there about 2 years.

I believe O'Neill came over from Social Services to take the OMB Director job early last year.

However, what difference does that make?

In his swearing in speech, Mangano ripped the Suozzi budget as being full of holes and one-shots.

Would you keep the last guy's budget director if you thought the budget was bad? I don't think so.

He knows where the holes and one-shots are. They're usually cleverly hidden.

Now it is clear..o'neil stays and his favorites stay with him. Numbers do lie and EM's team will find out soon enough. Possible millions of diverted money from red lights with the help of old budget guy. Let's go through right on red one more time at leg.

He was at DSS for a brief period of time. He left in mid 2009 and hasn't been from heard since.

O'Neill was at DSS where he showed himself to be extremely arrogant and a real bully during his short stint there and is one of the people that created the morale problem at DSS. Ditto at OMB. He got (purchased) his MBA from Dowling college which is at the shallow end colleges. He mostly relied on bullying and his political connections to get what he wanted. He's a real poilical hack with just enough knowledge to do real damage because he thinks he knows what he's talking about. He was also a big Suozzi supporter and worked on his reelection campaign. The new county executive better be careful with this one.

O'neil was a major league asshole. I'm surprised they kept him. If anyone deserves to go it's him. We'll keep our fingers crossed for wave 2 elimination.

ONeill as a Suozzi contributor and supporter and he's still there. How did THAT happen?

It's not just him, there are hundreds of Suozzi appointments still on the payroll. Why? Ask Mangano and Co. to explain how it is these Suozzi people are still running the machine. It's not like they're running a nation or a state.

Mangano has been in office less than two weeks and had a very brief transition. Justice comes slowly, as they say. But it comes.

There seem to be a lot of inept Suozzi hacks still around. These people were part of the problem. Why are taxpaying dollars being wasted like this?

Agreed, Ed better dump O'neil asap because he will turn into a liability. When NIFA or the press eventually find out about how he cooked the books for Suozzi there will be heck to pay for having kept him on.

So do you KNOW he cooked the books or are you just a Suozzi hater making stuff up? You signed your name "omb employee", which means O'Neill is your boss, yet you don't even know how to spell his name. Sounds not too believable to me.

its not about justice its about getting rid of these people fast before they do some really serious damage like doctor reports , hide files , wreck computer programs, manufacture issues, drop deadlines, lose cases - getting the picture? these people did nothing, weren't qualified, don't live in nassau, come from nyc employment & people voted them out. so get rid of them.
